“Be still my soul!”

“I think a lot of times we rush through our lives..we get to one place that we were wanting to be..and somehow, something inside of us rushes us to go to the next place in our lives..that next big thing..that next adventure..that next opportunity..and somehow in the midst of the next big thing so to speak..we never enjoy the now of what we were pursuing or wanting..and I think that by doing this we miss the moment..we miss the time..we miss out on the now of it all..and we don’t give ourselves enough time to simply bask where it is that we made it too in our lives and in our walks with the Lord..and I think that all the while I believe our Father is saying to us to be still..Amen..because if our minds are always thinking about the more..or the next..or whatever it is..how do we enjoy and know the now that we’re in?..how do we honestly live in our now?..if we’re constantly pursuing our tomorrows?..Amen..for sometimes when we reach a place we’ve been wanting..really all that God is requiring of us is to enjoy it..and live there..until He’s ready to move us on to that next big thing..whatever that may be..but as I said if we are always looking for more..we never see or never are able to be still..Amen..because somehow it leaves this thought that where we are is not enough..and you see guys it is enough..if we’ve reached a place that we’ve been praying for then by all means my heart and prayer is that you & I learn to enjoy that place..these moments in our lives..cause rest assured they don’t always last..cause life happens..cause God is just wanting us to be..and to live right where we are and to be thankful for where we are..Amen..cause if not we can surely end up like those Israelites that were freed from the bondage of Pharoah and the Lord provided and gave all to them..but they weren’t happy and they instead didn’t enjoy where they were so they wandered around in that wilderness for 40 years..murmuring and complaining to go back instead of enjoying the freedom that they had been given from those prayers they had been praying..Numbers 14/Exodus 16..so this evening I do hope and pray that each of us stop long enough always contemplating our lives..and just simply enjoy them..right where we are..not thinking of where we could be next..not considering what will do next..but just simply thanking the Lord and being present in the now of our lives..thanking Him for answering our prayers..all the while knowing that we should be still..Amen..let our minds, hearts, souls, spirit and bodies just rest and enjoy..not thinking ahead..but just quieting down..and being still..resting and enjoying the now of our lives..these moments that we’re in..treasuring and enjoying them all..for they say that we should enjoy the little things in our lives..for one day we will look back and realize they were the big things..for it is in His sweet name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
