“So, a few days back, I went with Anthony while he was bow hunting. We had driven over an hour to reach this game land, and it was so beautiful there. It reminded me so much of my home growing up in West Virginia.
When we arrived, we walked a few miles to the place where he had decided to stop and wait. So, of course, you know with hunting, you have to be quiet and still. So we sat there, and it was just magnificent scenery, but it was also the quietness of it all. You could hear a gentle stream flowing in the background, and every now and then, you would hear a bird chirp.
But it was so enchanting, and it had me thinking about the Scripture in the Word that says, “As the deer pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after thee, O God.” Psalm 42:1. Amen.
And as I sat there, I thought about how therapeutic it was. We had no cell service, no internet just nature at its finest for hours. No cars, no loud noises, no sirens, no rushing through traffic. Just sitting there so still, talking inwardly in my mind to Jesus. And every now and then, I would look over at Anthony, and he would give me a little nod. Amen.
So I say all this to say, sometimes in life, it is best to say yes when someone asks you to do something even if its nothing that you desire to do. Amen. Because it just surprise you for it did me..it was so peaceful for this momma, and I needed that quiet time surrounded by beautiful nature. And the Lord was just there with us, speaking to us in so many ways through His creation.
But I wonder, do we truly desire the Lord and His presence in our lives? Are we desperate for Him in a dry and thirsty land? Do we seek Him and desire that inner filling of God and His presence daily in our lives?
Because when we’re thirsty, we do all we can to drink. We drink from that well of life that never runs dry. Amen. And when we drink from that living water, we will never thirst again, for there is none like the Lord.
He desires us and our love toward Him. He desires that we need Him, that we want Him, and that we include Him in all that we do. Amen.
So I just ask us all to find our place of serenity and quietness and enjoy the moment. Enjoy the peace. Turn the phone off. Turn off the TV. Turn off the music. Turn off the noise. And sit patiently and wait for the Lord.
Have your soul, heart, and mind truly desire Him and only Him. Allow His presence to fill you, to wash over you, and to cover your life.
For then life begins. You come alive. And all is well in the world in which we live. Amen.
For there is nothing that can or ever will fill the place, or take the place, of where the Lord should be in us, in our souls, and in our minds. For He is the Bread of Life and the Living Water. He is our everything.
So take time for you to be close to Him. It is better than anything. It is refreshing, like those streams of living water. That gentle, quiet, peaceful solitude is such a beautiful and glorious thing.
So get fed and get watered. Let our Father wash over you, His child. Let Him refresh you, restore you, and bring healing to your soul.
Be still. Be quiet. Drink deeply from His living water, and allow His presence to fill you completely. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
