“Coming quickly!”

So all this morning even until this evening after church I have heard many helicopters flying around over Winston…not quite sure  what there doing needless to say…but for some odd reason my mind went to the attack on us by the Imperial Japanese Navy over in Pearl Harbor…in which case began the great World War II…I can only imagine that morning of December the 7th 1941…and at how I’m sure that everyone was living their lives content I guess….their minds wasn’t thinking or even prepared for battle that morning…they weren’t at all under attack by any one so they thought…until all of a sudden at 7:48 am they were attacked by the Japanese fighter planes, bombers, and torpedo planes in two waves, launched from six aircraft carriers. All eight U.S. Navy battleships were damaged, with four sunk. All but Arizona were later raised, and six were returned to service and went on to fight in the war. The Japanese also sank or damaged three cruisers, three destroyers, an anti-aircraft training ship, and one minelayer. 188 U.S. aircraft were destroyed; 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded….that was a day that will never be forgotten by the Americans…for that day I believe taught us all as Americans to always be ready for battle…so this morning I am thinking about life in general…I am thinking about us as christians, and I am thinking about our walks with the Lord..and at how we should always be prepared for battle..for it’s not a fleshly battle guys that we fight…but it is a spiritual one in which we battle and in which case we fight…for we never should cower down in our walks with Jesus…but we are to stand firm and we are to pray continually for the battles that we face are won upon our knees in prayer unto the Lord our God…for the bible says that we are to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil…For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;….Ephesians 6:10-18…for I have come to encourage us all here today that the battle belongs to Jesus…and that we all are overcomers….for we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony….Revelation 12:11…Praise the Lord…for scripture says this..Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all…Psalm 34:19…Hallelujah…for we have to know that God is for us..and that God is with us..and that God has already won the battle…so I pray that each of us keep on fighting the good fight of faith..1 Timothy 6:12…and that we don’t grow weary in our well doing for in due season we shall reap if we faith not..Galatians 6:9…Praise the name of the Lord…for victory is ours…so let us always be prepared and ready for battle…for we never know what we may face..but as long as we have Jesus…then we all can say, that all is well…all is well…all is well…Hallelujah…for we all just want to get to the end of our battles and to the end of our journey’s, and be able to say just as Timothy did…and that would be this…I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing…2 Timothy 4:7-8…for that’s the goal guys in life..and that is to be able to hear our Father in which is in heaven to says unto us.. Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord….Matthew 25:23….for scripture says this unto us…Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man…Luke 21:36…so let us watch guys and let us all pray…In Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray…Amen and Amen…Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
