“I’ve been thinking about us and, spiritually speaking, how the Lord desires that we ourselves tend and work on our gardens, so to speak. We are to take care of who we are for Christ and understand that daily, we are to pull up the weeds. We must dig down deep into the soil of our hearts and work on those things that are gnawing away at who we are for the Lord, as well as those things that are holding us back from becoming and being everything we could and should be for Christ.

And sometimes we get tired of working on ourselves and our so called gardens, and we just kind of give up pulling those weeds of life that the Word of God speaks of in Hosea 10:4, Matthew 13:29, Matthew 13:7, and Mark 4:19. Amen.

We just stop. And in doing so, we don’t yield the fruit that we should be yielding. Amen. We don’t become all of those things that we could become, all because we stop. We give up. We get tired in our well doing.

But guys, you know, if we hold on through the rough spots of our growth and allow God to deal with us and with who we are as individuals, the outcome is beautiful. And not only is it beautiful for us and for who we are in Him, but it is also beautiful for our families, our friends, and our coworkers. Amen!

Think about it for a minute. When we are flourishing in who we are for Christ, those around us benefit as well, because there is always enough to give to others. When we take the time to grow, we can have those overflowing cups, overflowing into the lives of others. Amen.

When we are filled up, when we are happy, when we are made right, living right, and walking right, and when we keep ourselves free from all of those so called weeds of life, then we are doing everyone a benefit not only ourselves. Amen.

So don’t give up on gardening your life. 1 Corinthians 3:6 reminds us of the importance of planting and watering, but God gives the increase. Keep working on your garden, because God is blooming wonderful and beautiful gifts, talents, and many great and magnificent attributes in you.

God multiplies us, especially when it comes to growing and maturing in Him and becoming who we are meant to be for Him. So keep watering, keep weeding, and keep pulling up anything and everything that would try to hinder or stop your growth in the Lord.

For in doing so, sooner or later, you will have the most lovely and beautiful garden that you have ever seen in your life a garden that is growing, flourishing, and blooming for Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen!”
