“Hear, Respond, Pray!”

—

“So last night, I was at the window in the drive-thru, waiting on our food after work. There is a young man who always seems to be working hard whenever I go there. He is so kind.

Last night, I looked at him and asked, “How are you?” He replied, “Tired, ma’am.” I asked him, “Are you not getting enough rest?” He said, “No, ma’am. I can’t sleep.” So I asked, “Well, are you having too much screen time or playing games?” He assured me that he wasn’t. Then he looked me straight in the eyes and said, “I have really bad dreams at night. So I wake up, and I can’t go back to sleep.”

By this time, our food had arrived, so I looked at him, caught his name, and told him to have a great night. I also told him that I prayed he would sleep so tonight. But that conversation stayed with me. It hit me deeply to think that, in that moment, he had been so open and honest with me. And I never take those moments for granted. When God allows someone to share something from their heart with me, I take it seriously. I hear them, I respond, and I pray. Amen!

As I was pulling out of the drive-thru, I began praying for that young man. As I was getting ready for bed, I prayed for him again. And this morning, I prayed for him once more. Amen! You see, the devil brings torment (Matthew 8:28; Matthew 4:24), and he is the accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:9-10). But here is our hope and our victory: God tells us that if we submit ourselves to Him and resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). Amen!

So, my thoughts this morning are this: Sometimes, when people speak, there is a different kind of feeling deep down in your soul as you hear what they are saying. Amen! And I believe it is in these moments that, as children of God, we have a responsibility to cry out in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Because one thing I have come to realize is that everyone we meet is fighting a battle. It may be big, it may be small, but either way, it is a battle. And what may seem small to one person may be something very big to someone else. We must never minimize what another person is going through. Amen!

So be sure to pray without ceasing for others when God places that burden on your heart to do so. When something catches your attention, when you hear their words just a little bit louder, don’t brush it off. Stop and pray! Amen! Because, once again, WE NEED EACH OTHER in this thing we all call LIFE.

God hears us, and He will answer us. So be fervent, be willing, and be obedient to call out on someone else’s behalf. Never underestimate the power of a prayer lifted up for another person. For it is just amazing what prayer can do! Amen! It gets the heavens stirring on our behalf, as well as theirs.

PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER. LOVE ONE ANOTHER. AND NEVER TAKE FOR GRANTED THE MOMENTS WHEN GOD ALLOWS YOU TO BE A LISTENING EAR AND A PRAYING HEART IN SOMEONE ELSE’S LIFE. Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
