“This morning I was thinking about what God requires of us as His children.
And in Micah 6:8, the Lord tells us that we are to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. We are called to live with fairness, honesty, and integrity; to joyfully extend compassion, kindness, forgiveness, and love with a spirit of service; and to honor God and others above ourselves.
God also tells us what He requires in Matthew 22:37–40. Jesus said we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind. And the second commandment is like it: to love our neighbor as ourselves. Jesus said that on these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
So my question for all of us is this: Where do we beat ourselves up? and where do we fail to give ourselves grace?
Because here’s the thing each of us knows who we are and how we are living. If we are acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God, then we are doing exactly what He requires of us. Amen.
We also know that the two greatest commandments God has given us are to love Him and to love others to love His people and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Amen.
And who are our neighbors? Everyone. For we are all created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). Amen.
So my prayer today is that we would give ourselves grace and be assured that, as we faithfully seek to live the way God requires, we are living and loving well. In doing so, we experience life more fully than ever before. Amen.
When we lose sight of what God actually requires, it’s easy to become distracted and believe we always need to do more or be more to earn His approval. But God has already shown us what He desires. As we faithfully walk in His ways, loving Him and loving others, we are living the life He has called us to live.
For who we are in Christ, and the lives we live in obedience to Him, are enough because of His grace. We are deeply loved, and we are highly favored by our Father King Jesus. Amen!
So let us love well, live well, and cherish these beautiful and blessed lives God has given us, knowing that as we walk with Him, we are living in the very things He requires of us. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen & Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
