“1st things First!”

“So again, as death comes knocking on the hearts and lives of names that we know, and the lives of those we’ve only heard of, it once again ushers us into stopping, reflecting, and putting 1st things first in our lives. Amen. For we can so easily get caught up in our everyday lives that we fail to remember that at any given moment we could breathe our very last breath this side of Heaven. Amen!

For we never know the moment in which the good Lord above will call us home to glory. We never know the moment that God will call one of our family members or friends into everlasting life in Heaven the place that is our forever home, the place where we will truly live forever. Amen.

But somehow along the way, we miss it. We lose the purpose of it all. Amen. And what is the purpose? What is the daily life that we all should be living? What is the place where we need to keep our focus and attention? What are the things in our lives that we need to daily remind ourselves to put first? Where are we falling short? Where do we need to pick back up where we have dropped off? Amen.

Because here’s the thing this life is not it. Amen. This world is not it. Amen. We are to live kingdom-minded. Amen. (Philippians 3:20). We are to be ready for our Father’s house that He alone went to prepare for us “many mansions,” the Word of God says. (John 14:2). Amen. That place the Word tells us is our inheritance. It is incorruptible, undefiled, and does not fade away. And that place is Heaven. Praise the name of the Lord. It is the place that God our Father has reserved for you and me. (1 Peter 1:4). Amen.

So today my prayer is this that we prepare for eternity. Amen. One of my dear friends sent me a short clip this morning, and it said this: “We often hear life is short, enjoy it, but we often forget eternity is long prepare for it.” Hallelujah.

For the Word says this “For what is your life? It is a vapor that appears for a little time and then it vanishes away.” (James 4:14). So we are to be ready. We are to keep 1st things first. We are to live in our moments, love everyone not merely a few focusing on being a help, being a friend, being an encourager, and remaining positive. We are to store up our treasures in Heaven, for the Word of God says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21). Amen.

So my prayer is that each of us, every single day of our lives, keeps Heaven in view. That we keep living with the thought that today could be the last day it could be our very last day. Amen. Not to sound morbid, but simply for us to keep doing the right things and placing a big stamp of love on everything that we do.

May our family and friends not only hear the words “I love you,” but may they experience our love through our actions. Amen. For love is a verb it is an action word. Amen. So be sure that you are living out love loudly, and really loudly at that. Not once a year, not once a month, but every single day, just as God does for you and me. He showers His love, kindness, and goodness upon us, and every day His mercies are brand new. Amen.

So I pray that we live that way as well denying ourselves and truly living the life that the Lord did. For He came to serve, not to be served. He came as a living, breathing sacrifice for you and me for whosoever will. Amen!

And so in return, I pray that we love hard, live well, staying heavenly minded over our lives, knowing that today could be the very day that there is no more. Amen.

But if that day were to come, may it be said that we did our very best. We did what we knew to do. We did as our Father desired for us to do. And we would have no fear of regret, because we lived our lives by putting 1st things first. Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
