“We’re free!”

“So today while at the nail salon there was this sweet little lady sitting next to me..and she as well was getting her nails done..and of course we were talking back and forth to one another..and she was talking about her children..and her grandchildren..and at how they all were grown now..and so she commenced to telling me that this was the second time she has gotten her nails done..and that she has loved it..she said it makes me feel so good about me..and she goes on to keep talking about her grandchildren..and she says my granddaughter got her nails done here and she got the white tips on her hands and it looked so beautiful so I think I better do the same..and she says what do you think..do you like the white tips..and I tell her well me personally I don’t get them on my nails..I like bright colors..so really it’s what you like..that is what counts..Amen..and I tell her, well I think you’d look wonderful with red nails..and she laughs a little and says my husband said the same thing to me today..at first I didn’t think he’s like for me to get my nails done she says..but he loves it..but ya know she says I am 83 years old..and I think that I am too old for red nails..even though I do love them..and for a moment I begin to think about it all..and I thought honestly what does age have to do with how you wanna get your nails done?..and what does age have to do with the color you, yourself chooses to wear?..really it falls once again into this good ole society that we live in..that tells us after a certain age..you have to look this way..you have to dress this way..you have to get your hair done this way..and you must choose proper nail colors based upon your age..isn’t that such a shame?..guys, we can be however we choose to be..Amen..there is no bondage that should be placed on us by society or by others about what we do and how we choose to do it..for once again Christ has freed us and we are free..John 8:36..we can choose to live free..we have one life to live..and you know I will say that if the Lord doesn’t like something on you that your doing then the Lord will let you know..but to not be who the Lord has made for you to be..all because of people and this society that we live in..that is not being free..we’re being bound by them and what they think we should and should not be doing..guys let us please stay free..Amen..let us be happy with who we are..and let us let Jesus change us if we’re doing something..or wearing something that He doesn’t approve of..Amen..cause honestly that lady had beautiful nails..and her complexion would have been so fantastic with them red nails that her husband had told her to go ahead and get..because he knows she loves red..but she didn’t do that..she decided to please society..and she decided to listen to this ole world and what their thoughts and opinions on it was..other than pleasing herself..and other than choosing to be free..even over something as simple as nail polish..she didn’t..and my heart in that moment really broke for that lady..especailly being someone her age..I’m sure she has really spent her entire life pleasing others..other than ever taking a moment to please herself and the things that she likes in life..so my heart and my prayer is this take a moment to look over your life and the things that you do..and make sure your listening to the Lord about you..and make sure you are being who Christ made you to be..for once again were all different..we all like different things..but that doesn’t make us bad..or make sinners just because we choose red..over them white tipped nails..Amen..so be free..and stay free..for it is in Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
