“The marriage supper of the Lamb!”

“So yesterday morning and yesterday evening I took some catering orders over to the WinMock for a wedding they were having there..and it was so stunning..especially yesterday evening when I went back because everyone was dressed and it was completely beautiful..and of course whenever I am around a wedding or someone is mentioning a wedding I always think about that great day with our Lord..when He calls us His children home to sit and feast at His table at the marriage supper of the Lamb!..can you honestly imagine how magnificent it is going to be..Amen..for it tells us in  Revelation that we should be glad and rejoice and give honor to the Lord..for the marriage supper of the Lamb has come..and that his wife has made herself ready all clean and white..which is us the church..Amen..we are the bride of Christ..it goes on to say Blessed are they which are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb..that we can gather ourselves together unto the supper of the great God..Amen..Revelation 19:6-21..and for that day none of us ever want to miss..what an honor and what a privilege to be saved and to be called children of the most high God..Amen..but as well this morning at church our Pastor was preaching and he told of a story of a young girl who wanted to leave her home and all that she had and to go out and explore the city and the life there that she had only seen on tv or some magazine cover..so this girl ran away from home..and she went and took herself to the city..and while she was there she begin doing many things that in her heart she knew was wrong and not at all right to be able to live and to have money..so she began having all of these scandalous affairs with many different men..all the while back at her home the Pastor said the mother grieved for her daughter so she herself sat out to find her..so she took many photos of her beautiful yet young daughter along with her to that great big city..and began placing them in different spots as she journied along looking everywhere she could for her daughter..until one day the mother had to go back home because she had no more money to stay there in that city..and had to tend to her other children that were home..and then one day the daughter after this immortal event that she was daily doing came downstairs from this hotel she was in..and there on the bulletion board they had hanging in their lobby she seen a picture of herself there on that bulletion board..and she took it down and she turned it over..and there was her mothers hand writing..and written there on the back were these words to her daughter..”It said wherever you’ve been..no matter what you’ve done..please, come home!”…Amen..and yet once again my mind began to think of the Lord..and at how He as well has written so many notes and letters to us through His word..our bible..and at how He tells us and speaks to us in that same manner..that wherever we’ve been..no matter what we’ve done..He just wants us to come home..Amen..He just wants us to have our names written in that Lamb’s book of life..He wants us to attend that beautiful and glorious wedding that He has prepared for us..Amen..see that’s one wedding day that none of us ever want to miss in all of our lives..Amen..so today my heart and my prayer is simply that no matter where you have been and no matter what you have done..God’s grace is sufficient..2 Corinthians 12:9..and God’s love is unfailing..and forgiveness is always available..so let us this evening..each of us know that we know that our names are there written down in our Fathers great book of life..Revelation 21:27..that we are ready to go if by chance He were at this moment in time to come and split that sky wide open to call His children home..Amen..to call us to come and feast at His table of life..and to attend the most amazing and the most glorious wedding day of our entire lives..that wedding supper of the Lamb..Amen..for that’s one wedding that I do not want to miss..so come home if you’ve wandered..if you’ve backsliden..if you have drifted just a bit..our Father is ever so gently calling for you His child to come home..so will you respond?..will you say, yes?..my heart and my prayer for each of us is that we do respond..that we chose to always say yes..and that we do attend that great wedding day together as a family..forever praising and loving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..In His name, Jesus, name I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
