“Without the Shepard!”

“This morning at church as the Pastor was preaching he read a few verses of scripture from Psalm 23 speaking of how the Lord our God is our Shepard..Psalm 23:1..Amen..and as he continued on with his message I begin to think more of that..and the fact the Lord calls us his sheep..Amen..He says my sheep know my voice and they follow me..John 10:27-28..Amen..so I think about sheep in and of itself and at how sheep are not very smart to say the least..they must have a Shepard..Amen..for if not they get lost and they wonder around and for some they fall and walk right off from cliffs..and of course you think to yourself..Lord, why would you compare us to sheep?..Amen..but honestly guys if you think about us and who we are and at how we get off track from time to time..we wonder around as well from time to time..we lose footing at times..we lose our way at times..we get side tracked..we lose hope ever so quickly it seems..we are honestly to goodness are like sheep..for it says all have gone astray like sheep..Isaiah 53:6..Amen..but the fact of it all is that we need the Shepard..we need the Lord..and daily so..we need Him and His guidance..we need Him more than anything in all of this life..we need Jesus..Amen..for without Him guys we are lost..without Him we are hopeless beings..just literally going about not knowing what way to go or what to do..Amen..but aren’t you so thankful tonight that you know Him..you know Jesus..you have a personal relationship with Christ..isn’t that the most incredible blessing ever..Amen..just knowing Him and knowing that He is our Shepard leading us along lives pathway..even if we get behind or wonder that our Father the good Shepard comes along and finds us and picks us up and carries us back to that narrow pathway that we should be on and stay on..Amen..so tonight my heart is simply this we all lose sight from time to time..we all face things that take us places in life we don’t really wanna have to go..but once again let me remind you that the Lord..our good Father..that wonderful Shepard is there ready and willing to come and pick you up and place you on His shoulders and carry you back home to Him so that you can be once again in complete fellowship with Him..for the Lord will leave the ninty-nine to go for that one lost sheep of His that has gone astray..Matthew 18:12/Luke 15:4..Amen..so know that the  Lord does make us to lie down in them green pastures..the Lord does lead us beside them still waters..He does restore our souls..Amen..He does lead us in paths of righteousness..we may go through them valleys..but we will not fear any evil..for God our good Shepard is with us..Amen..He does prepare the table before us in the presence of our enemies..He alone does anoint our heads with oil and our cups runs over..Amen..and yes know that goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives and we will dwell in the house of the Lord our God forever..Psalm 23:1-6..for God keeps His sheep..and He keeps them safe from them evil and deceitful wolves out there..so know that you are a child of God..and know that you are the sheep of His pasture..and by knowing that each of us can and should have confidence..we should have peace and we should most definitely have rest..and rest in Him and who He is alone..In His name, Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
