“So I’ve been testing and reading a lot here lately..gaining some knowledge and wisdom in the area of my work..but the last few days in my readings..the same scripture keeps flashing so to speak before my eyes..and it is that of Proverbs 22:1 that says this..”A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold…Amen..the founder of Chick-fil-A..”S.Truett Cathy built his life and his career on that one founded scripture, in the word of God..He says that his life even as a child was taught that from his mother at very young age..reminds me of my husband and I with our son Anthony…we’ve told him that his whole life..that his name means more than anything in all of this life..Amen..but as far a Truett Cathy..he says he always is very conscious of keeping his name in good order..Amen..for he says that your reputation is something that each of us must earn daily..we don’t get dividends for the work that we did the day before..but it’s a daily resurrected type of living as to where your name is rather to be chosen than that of great riches..Amen..cause isn’t it so true guys that once someone gets a bad name then really that name sticks with them for the rest of their lives..people can do a million things right to say the least..and than there’s that one mess up..that one shortcoming..that one thing that they said or did..that will take their name from this great standing to this guessing of who they are to what they really stand for and believe in..am I not right?!..because it is a daily guarding and protecting..especially when we are following the Lord..because it seems that all to well others place a huge light..magnifiying one if you must say..right there over us..and they take a good look at us and who we are..it seems that for the most part they are always waiting for a mistake..or watching for one..or a mishap to occur…or happen in our lives or in our worlds..so guys I know first and foremost that the scripture says that no not one is perfect..that we all have fallen short from the glory of the Lord..Romans 3:10/Ecclesiastes 7:20..Amen..that we all are sinners..Amen..that our righteousness is of a filthy rag..Isaiah 64:6..but it does tell us to be ye perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect..Matthew 5:48..Amen..in other words we are to help ourselves by helping ourselves and daily doing so..we are to daily pick up our crosses and follow the Lord..Luke 9:23..Amen..because the scripture says that each new morning His mercies are new..Lamentations 3:22-23..so really everything we did yesterday is gone..and today as the little quote says begin with such an excitement for Jesus as if you’ve never done the first thing for Him..Amen..it’s being mindful of the Lord and who He is..and how were pleasing Him..it’s living our lives for Him..in everything it is that we’re choosing to do..so let us get up every morning and start anew with the Lord..keeping our names as the word of God says..above all else..for that is who we are..how we live..what we do..everything is our outward expression of who it is that we serve..so let us walk in obdience to Christ..let us love all and not merely few..and let us treat others the way that we ourselves want to be treated..for once again guys everything we do and everything we say matters and it does matter greatly..so let us choose carefully and choose very wisely..let none of us tarnish our names for just one moment of relief or satisfication..because honestly, it is not worth it..so let us be mindful and be aware of our names and daily doing so..In His name, Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
