“What causes us to look beyond faults and see needs?..what causes us to turn the other cheek?..what causes us to overcome evil with good?..what causes us to stand up for injustice?..what causes us to forgive seventy times seven?..what causes us to love all and not merely few?..what causes us to be more caring..more compassionate..more giving..more encouraging..more kind?!..the answer is quite simple and yet somehow yet so profound..and that is Christ and His devine love..Amen..for you see the word of God speaks of love so many times over and over..but the ones that stand out the most to me..is John 3:16…in which says, “That God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life..Praise His name..and as well the one that says that love covers a multitude of sins..and guys you know were never more like Christ Jesus our Lord than when we’re loving as He loves..Amen..John 15:13 tells us..”Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends..in the book of Corinthians it says that we can do so many things..but if we fail to love than we are like sounding brass..and we will not be heard..Amen..1 Corinthians 13:1-13..but Matthew couldn’t have said it any better..when he said..”Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets..Matthew 22:36-40..so I would ask of us all tonight in the most humbling way..how is our love towards others?..how do we treat and love on others?..is it just merely words that we speak?..or is it genuinely coming from our hearts?..for you see love is what wins and is what prevails over everything that any of us will ever face or ever have to go through in all of our lives..so let us pray for love..ask of the Lord to fill us so full with His love that it honestly to goodness will flow so frelly out from us that it can’t help but flow out unto others..Amen..for there guys and there alone is where we all win in this thing that we call life..so give love..share love..and receive love..Amen..for that is the most precious and more glorious thing we can ever do for ourselves..but as well for the lives of others..for love is the key to everything..for scripture says that God is love..for it tells us over in the book of 1 John..”Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
