I find it so amusing that when I know that someone is going to be coming to my home, to either visit for a while or even stay a while, that I will clean like I’ve never cleaned before…I mean you know I always clean but to really go that extra mile so to speak…doing them things that I somehow otherwise would just overlook and put off…But then I think to myself, well I need more people to come on by the house and visit..cause that’s some real motivation for me to get busy doing all of them things that I somehow seem to overlook and seem to put off…but either way I am thinking today about how our nature seems to do this…and why it does it I’m not really sure..not to say that we’re lazy or anything…but It just seems that we do what we have to do daily..other then going that extra mile…taking care of all them things that need taking care of in our lives..but today what I’ve been thinking of is the story in the bible that tells us about these ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. and while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. and afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh…Matthew 25:1-13…and I always think to myself spiritually speaking here that our homes are one thing to kinda let go and do whatever is needed..but speaking of our spiritual homes…that inward man there isn’t time to overlook certain things or to put off them things in which we know, that we know we should do or should be doing..because once Jesus comes we don’t get a do over, a start over, nor do we have time to go get ourselves all cleaned up and have that oil full in our lamps…because once Jesus comes for His church to call us home..than that’s it….we all think that we do have time..will do it next week…will do it tomorrow…or even for some next month..or when spring time comes…or some say when summer is over…or when winter begins will do this or that…but sometimes there isn’t anymore time…so my thoughts today is this…if you have things that need to be fixed and or worked on or even cleaned up in your life…then by all means I pray you do what’s needed to be done today…for I wrote it earlier…don’t put off tomorrow what you can do today..for some tomorrow may never come for them…for the word says today is the day of salvation..2 Corinthians 6:2..and that the righteous are scarcely saved.and scripture goes on to say that where shall the ungodly or the sinner appear?..1 Peter 4:18…so understand, that we don’t get to heaven by our good works..by our good deeds….we don’t get there because were good people….nor the fact that we work hard..and we abide by the rules in life…we don’t disobey the laws…nor do we harm our fellowman…for all of them things guys are works…but just know that there is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus Christ His Son..John 14:6…who shed His blood for the remission of our sins..Matthew 26:28…who while hanging there on the cross of calvary took upon himself the sins of this world to be the ultimate atonement for all mankind that whosoever will call upon His name shall be saved..1 John 2:2…it is confessing that He is Lord…it is a daily denying of yourself and picking up your cross and following Jesus…it is all about relationship with Him..knowing that ya know that your name is written down in the Lambs book of life..Luke 10:20…and knowing that Jesus calls you friend…John 15:15…and knowing that He knows your name..Isaiah 43:1..and knowing that you are pleasing unto Him..for we never want to stand before our Maker and hear Him say unto us…for it says that the Lord will then profess unto them I never knew you, depart from me ye that work iniquity..Matthew 7:23…so make sure that your right in all areas of your life…that your able to stand before Jesus completely blameless…and have Him say unto you, well, done thou good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over few things, I will make thee ruler over much, enter thou in into the joy of the Lord..Matthew 25:23…Hallellujah…for what is our lives?…the word of God says, it is but a vapor…were only here for a little while and then we vanisheth away..James 4:14..so let us all be mindful and always know that no man knows the hour in which the Son of man will come..Matthew 24:36…so let us watch and let us pray..Luke 21:36..always being ready and prepared…if by chance the Lord Jesus would come to call us on home to live forever and ever, all eternity with Him in glory….In Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray…Amen and Amen…Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
