“Slowing things down!”

With such high demands on all of us now a days…it’s a wonder that any of us are really and honestly making it…I mean making it as far as having our minds and hearts in the right place considering everything that we do and accomplish this day and age…years ago it wasn’t as it is today…we actually spent our days in the evenings relaxing…well, for some they did..for some they worked night shift..but either way it seemed that our lives were able to be spent relaxed, and when we did relax it was honestly relaxing..it wasn’t feeling the need to have to rush and to something else…or feeling the need to have to run and check something else…or go somewhere else..we didn’t have the demands as we do today way back then…but today it’s as if the moment we wake up until the very moment we lay our heads to rest at night we are a busy and productive people…we are constantly on the go..and we get it and go whether we really and truly want to or not…but I guess what I’m trying to get at is that are the things in which were doing actually counting for something in our lives…or are we just merely doing stuff?…are we just trying to keep up and go along with society and the way that society has done shaped america and it’s people…cause I tell ya guys if we’re not careful that ole devil will place so much stuff on us that will be running around like chickens with our heads cut off…never to enjoy the moments that were in..and never to really be able to stop along the way and smell them roses so to speak…for life each of our lives were meant to be lived..and lived to the fullest but not only that, they were meant to be enjoyed…and to be pleasurable for us to live them…for God died that we all could live this abundant life..but rest assured that ole devil he came to steal, kill and to destroy us..John 10:10…any and every way it is that he can…so the point of me saying all of this…is that when life starts getting a little bit out of hand..and or out of control for ya…I think that’s the moment you take yourself and you get alone with the Lord and ask Him to prioritize your life…and ask Him to help you to slow down and enjoy this thing that we all call life…see none of us want to just rush from point a to point b and never really take in the atmosphere  along the way…all because the mind is flooded with whats next on the agenda…so get your calendars out..and get your planners out..and begin to go over some things….and as I said make sure that them things that your doing are meaningful things…make sure your taking time to be with your family and friends…make sure that your enjoying your life..and enjoying your home..and them babies..them teenagers…all of this beauty that surrounds us…the birds…the sun, the rain…the night air..the crickets…just take it all in..and indulge yourself…for life is such a gift…and if were not careful will never honestly and truly unwrap our gift…for none of us ever want to get to the end of our lives and look back with so much guilt and resentment all because we didn’t stop along the way to actually enjoy it..and actually listen to the Lord and His leading instead of listening to our own…there is this little quote that says this…Gods voice stills you, but satans rushes you…Gods voice leads you, but satans voice pushes you, Gods voice reassures you, but satans voice frightens you, Gods voice enlightens you, but satans voice confuses you, Gods voice encourages you, but satans voice discourages you..Gods voice comforts you, but satans voice worries you, Gods voice calms you, but satans voice obsesses you, Gods voice convicts you, but satans voice condemns you….so I pray that we all are listening to Gods voice…for God is always speaking guys, we just have to slow down long enough to hear Him..for He says His voice we would know and that the voice of a stranger we would not follow..John 10:5..so let us listen to our Fathers voice, leading us and guiding us all along the way…in our walks and on our journeys with Him…and let us remember to always cast our cares upon Him for He cares and loves us so..1 Peter 5:7…for without the Lord as the song sings and as the song goes…this world would overwhelm my soul…for without Jesus I just couldn’t see the right way to go when temptations all around me blow….so let us consider our lives and let us consider them things in which we do…and then let us make sure that there the things in which our Lord would be having for us to do…for 24 hours in a day really isn’t that long if we stop and think about it…so let us learn to calm down and let us learn to slow down..for our lives wasn’t meant to be rushed..but they were meant to be enjoyed, so let us all be enjoying this beautiful thing it is that we all call life…In Jesus’ name. I do ask and pray…Amen and Amen!…Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
