“The cross what power it carries for us as children of God. Amen.

It symbolizes God’s sacrificial love, the forgiveness of sins, and the ultimate victory and power over death. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, willingly endured crucifixion to pay the penalty for humanity’s sins. Because He was resurrected three days after dying on the cross, it was transformed from a symbol of torture and shame into a symbol of hope, life, love, liberty, redemption, and victory. Amen.

When we see the cross, that is what we see. We see salvation. We see the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. For the Bible says, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” — 1 Corinthians 1:18. Amen.

As God’s children, we are to always be looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, “who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” — Hebrews 12:2. Amen.

Today, my prayer for all of us is that we would live and abide at the foot of the cross, recognizing how deeply we are loved and completely forgiven. We have a Heavenly Father who is with us and who is for us a Savior who did it all and won it all for you and me on that old rugged cross. Amen.

So let us walk in victory, knowing that it has all been won and forever settled. That we belong to Lord, and He alone is ours forever. Amen!”
