“So this morning as I got up, the house was really cold. For the past week or so, things here in the Carolinas have cooled down, especially at nighttime. And I was making my coffee, getting breakfast going, and walking around freezing. Even breathing in the air was cold. Amen.
So finally, after about 30 minutes or so, I said to myself, “Oh goodness, Mandi, just turn the heat up.” Amen. And that is exactly what I did. About five minutes later, the house was nice, cozy, and warm.
And as I stood there, I thought about us as God’s children and how often we do the same thing in life. Amen. Spiritually speaking, we will walk around cold and frustrated by the “coldness” in our lives. We will cover ourselves up and bundle ourselves in everything we think will warm us up, only to find that we are still cold. Amen.
And not only do we know we are cold, but the people around us know it too. They can hear it in our voices. They can see it in the way we carry ourselves. Just by being around us, they can sense that we need to get warmed up. Amen. We need to go and turn that Spirit filled heat up in our souls. (2 Timothy 1:6–7). Amen.
And sometimes, without fail, we simply tolerate the cold that is present in our lives. But we do not have to, nor does the Lord intend for us to. Amen. He would rather for us to be on fire for Him filled to overflowing with everything He has available for us. Amen!
But if we do not take the time to slow down and grab hold of it, then we will miss it. We will run on empty and end up pouring from cold, empty cups, and that is not God’s intent for His children.
Daily, we have to stir up the gift of the Holy Ghost inside of us. Daily, we have to sit down at God’s table and feast on Him and His Word. (Psalm 23:5). And in turn, He keeps us filled up and warmed up so that we are not walking around cold or bitter in any way, shape, or form. Hallelujah!
Instead, we will be on fire for Him, for His will, and for His purpose for us and our lives. Amen.
Because being a cold person is not a very good witness for anyone but especially not for us as God’s children, because we are representing Him and all that He is to us in the lives we are living. Amen.
So today, and every day that follows, if you need to stop and turn the heat up in your life, then by all means do just that not only for yourself, but also for all those around you.
Be a light. Be a help. Be a friend. Be an encourager. Live this beautiful, filled life on fire, shining brightly and remaining hot and on fire for Jesus Christ our Lord, making a difference right where you are in your life and daily so. (Hebrews 12:9).
And I will make a difference right where I am in my life, and together you and I can spread warmth, good news, and good cheer to all those around us. Amen. Making this world a warmer, cozier, and more comforting peaceful place to live. Amen.
So never forget you matter, and what you do matters. For it truly does matter greatly.
So let us not grow cold in our cups of life, but instead let us turn the heat up and stay warm and cozy filled being all that we can be for our Lord and our Savior. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
