“Coming home from work, I was so hungry. And after I stopped by the store, I grabbed the mozzarella cheese out of one of the bags and opened it on my way home so I could eat a couple slices. Amen.
And as I was eating, I began thinking Lord, when we’re hungry, we eat. Amen. We will drive, go, do, and make a way to eat, regardless of the cost sometimes. Amen. Then I started reflecting on different times in my life when I got really hungry. I remember being in the truck years ago, and we’d be out somewhere when Erik would say, “Honey, it’s going to be another hour before we can stop.” I’d be okay for a moment but then I wasn’t okay at all. I’d get antsy, then grumpy, and all the things. Amen. And Erik would laugh and tell his friends, “My wife gets so hungry she looks like she’s going to scratch my dash out!” Of course he was joking. but hunger it really does something to you. Amen.
I always tell guys who are dating if your girlfriend is getting upset, just feed her and she’ll be okay. Amen.
But then I began thinking about God’s Word and how important it is to us spiritually for our overall well-being. For God’s Word truly feeds our souls. It sustains us in every aspect of life when we consume and feast upon it. Just like we need natural food, we also need spiritual food. Amen.
God tells us that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). Amen. And it also says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6). Amen.
So today, I just want to remind us all to make sure we are feeding our spirit that inward man of ours. For it is so important for our lives. It strengthens us, it helps us stand firm, and it keeps us whole and complete in Jesus. Amen.
His Word feeds us like nothing else. It gives us joy for the journey we’re on. It gives us determination to stay calm and content, no matter what we have or don’t have. It brings healing mentally and physically. God’s Word, our manna from heaven, is crucial to who we are as His children. Amen.
So as you look for something to eat naturally today, make sure you are also eating spiritually spending time with the Lord and in His Word. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
