“Our words matter. Everything we speak and everything we say helps shape the life we are going to live. Amen. For God tells us in His Word that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Amen. Our words are containers of life and death; they have direction.
There is a saying that says this, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will break my heart.” Amen. Our tongues can be a weapon we can use them to heal or to harm, not only our own lives but also the lives of others. Amen.
Scripture says we eat the fruit of our words. In other words, there are consequences to what we say and how we speak. Amen. Our words impact everything about who we are and the life we are living. We can tear things down very quickly through our speech and the things we say. Sometimes we are not mindful of what we say or to whom we say it. Amen.
But the Lord also says that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). Amen. This reveals our inner thoughts, emotions, and the true character of who we are. What is stored in our hearts comes out through our lips. Amen.
And that truth can be a bit scary when we consider what we say and how we speak. Amen. Because if our speech is not good or edifying, then there is work that needs to be done between us and the Lord. Amen. For God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).
The Bible also says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9). Amen.
Our words give light (Psalm 119:130). We are told to let no corrupt communication proceed out of our mouths, but only what is good for edification, that it may minister grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29). As well a wholesome tongue is a tree of life (Proverbs 15:4). And a soft answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger (Proverbs 15:1). The words of a wise person are gracious, but the lips of a fool consume themselves (Ecclesiastes 10:12). Pleasant words are like a honeycomb sweet to the soul and health to the bones (Proverbs 16:24). Amen.
So I wanna ask us all. How does our life sound? What are we saying and speaking? Are we bringing life to the life we are living? Are we mindful of the words we speak not only to others but also to ourselves?
Because it matters greatly what we say, our words are powerful. Amen. So let us pay attention to our words, our actions, and the condition of our hearts the very things that come out of us in speech. So I pray that if we have issues in this area that we work these things out with our Father, growing, maturing, and choosing to live better and speak better. Amen.
Let us let go of the old self and old ways, and instead embrace the new life we have in Jesus. Let us speak life the life we desire and are called to live. Let us hold fast to goodness and not take for granted the words that come from our hearts.
Because if we are careless with our words, we are not becoming all that we can be for the Lord. We will not move forward if we ignore what God is revealing to us through our hearts and our speech.
So if we want to be all that we can be for the Lord, let us allow Him to align our hearts rightly. Let us speak life over ourselves and into the lives of others. Let us live a beautiful, Spirit-filled life.
And let us choose our words wisely, and let us not be careless with them. For the words we speak are powerful indeed over everything that concerns you and I. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
