“Growing Pains!”

“Throughout all stages of our lives, we are constantly presented with opportunities for growth. Amen. At each stage, the change and growth look different. But as they say, growing pains can often be the worst kind of pain. Yet, through those pains, we are changed and molded into different people. These challenges help us see ourselves for who we truly are and reveal the areas in our lives where we still need to grow.

We are creatures of habit, people of routine. Most of us enjoy the same things day in and day out. I don’t know many who truly enjoy being interrupted along the way. Personally, unless something is planned in advance, I don’t care for life’s interruptions. I like to know what’s coming so I can prepare. Amen.

But how many of you know that life doesn’t always go according to plan? Sometimes things get stirred up quickly, and suddenly you’re in the middle of a hornet’s nest, trying to figure out which direction to run in. Amen. And while you’re trying to escape, you’re getting stung along the way. Because life has a way of changing us—daily.

But it’s in those hard times that we experience what they call “growing pains.” Pain, they say, is necessary for growth. Whether it’s physical, mental, or emotional, discomfort and suffering are essential parts of life. We must embrace these challenges in order to grow and learn. Pain provokes power within us to change. You never truly know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have. Amen.

Pain also instills empathy in us—a deep compassion and self-awareness for both our own struggles and the struggles of others. It helps us become more resilient and teaches us how to problem-solve and adapt in difficult situations.

So this morning, I just want to say that each of us is facing growing pains in one way or another. I am sure of it—because growth never stops this side of Heaven. But I pray that we all grow through it, not just go through it. That we lean on the Lord, trusting Him through the process. That we change, mature, and step into the next level that God has for us.

Let us never forget that we are here for Him—for His glory alone. Each of us has a purpose on this side of Heaven. And wherever our growing pains are leading us, I pray we keep our eyes open to the people around us. Let’s help one another along the way. Instead of resisting growth, let’s embrace it, adapt to it, and learn from it. May we rise in this season of our lives and become all that God is calling us to be. Amen.

The Scriptures remind us:

“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, understood as a child, and thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
1 Corinthians 13:11

“Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
James 1:2-4

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
Galatians 6:9

So I pray we all make it through these growing pains of life—helping, loving, and caring for one another every step of the way. Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
