“I know at church we have our altars, and there is something so powerful about the anointing at an altar. It’s a special place, a place to go when we feel blinded, when we’ve lost heart, or when we’ve become numb to the way things are in our lives or our families’ lives. If we just place those burdens on the back burner, we are missing the mark. Amen. For me and the ones closest to me, there is a lot of brokenness. Amen. A lot is going on. We all do, don’t we? Amen. We all have loved ones who are lost, hurting, depressed, and fighting huge battles with their health. Amen. We have loved ones who are addicted, or in prison. Amen. They need covering. Amen.
I know that prayer is the key and the answer. Amen. You have to pray for your family and friends. You have to keep them covered in prayer before the Lord, our God. Amen. There is too much going on, and if we don’t do something about it, nothing will change. Amen. We have to care. Amen. We have to pray like never before. We have to find our altar, that place the Bible calls our secret place, our prayer closet (Matthew 6:6). Amen. In that place, we cry out to the Lord for their souls, for their protection. Amen. And we don’t just pray once and move on; we pray until there is change—until that change is evident in their lives. The enemy is real. He is the prince of the air (Ephesians 2:2). Amen. If we deny this, we are only fooling ourselves. Amen. We can feel it. We know when we are in a place where evil is present. We know. God has made us wiser than the enemy, but guess what? Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Amen.
So don’t overlook your family and friends who are in a battle, who truly need help. Amen. Don’t gossip about them. Don’t talk about them. Pray for them. Have compassion for them and their souls. Amen. Can you imagine what they face daily, what they are dealing with personally? They are in bondage, in darkness. They are in a dark place. They need you. Amen. They need covering. They need someone faithful to pray for them, to stand in the gap for them. Amen. So think about that today. Think about those who need your prayers, and be faithful in praying for them. That’s the best gift we can honestly give anyone—our prayers. Amen. They don’t need you to tell them what they are doing wrong. They know. Amen. They just need help, love, and your prayers.
So again find your place in their lives and pray for them. Love them, because love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Amen. Be the Lord’s hands and feet, love His children, and help them by lifting them up daily before the Lord. Amen. I had a pastor, who is now home with the Lord, who once told me, ‘I go to the altar every day. I cry out for my children, family, and friends, naming them one by one before the Lord.’ Amen. That’s it—covering them in prayer, seeking the Lord’s face for them. Amen. There’s nothing better in life than being in the presence of the Lord, and there’s no greater gift we can give anyone than praying for them—earnestly praying for them. Amen.
So let us be faithful in praying for those whom God has placed in our lives. Stay committed to praying for them, never giving up, never putting them on the back burner of our lives. Amen. For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear friends, and remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father. Much love to you all. Mandi.”
