“Broken, but not completely whole!”

“So today I was cleaning my desk off and the top section is not attached to the bottom section..and I didn’t know that..and so I knocked off one of my gifts that Anthony had gotten me when he was 7 for Christmas..and it has been one of my most favorite pieces in our home..so my heart was a little crushed for a moment..and I thought well Mandi when Erik gets home hopefully he can glue it back together for you..it won’t be the same as before..but it will be mended together good enough for me to use..Amen..they’re will be pieces that will probably be missing I’m sure of it..and if I or someone else would look hard enough after the fix we would be able to see the pieces that will be missing..and as well the places that it broke..Amen..but anyways I begin to think about the story of this dad trying to teach his son about anger and how to manage it..and so he takes him to the backyard and gives him this hammer and some nails and he says everytime you’re angry son I want you to come out here and take a nail and hammer it into the board lying there..so the son did this for a month or more..and finally the dad takes the son to the backyard and says now I want you to take all of those nails and pull them out of that board..and so the son listened and pulls every nail out..and afterwards the dad says..when you’re angry and you do things and say things..then I want you to picture the nails..Amen..he says and just like them nails we can remove them as you did and they can be forgiven so to speak from others in whom the harm was done..Amen..but as well I want you to look at that board and I want you to see all of those holes that were left there after the nails were taken from it..and so the dad says..son, in our moments of anger we say things and we do things that can be forgiven but they never are forgotten..our words and our actions towards others scar them and sometimes for life..our words have the power to do good or to do harm..Proverbs 18:21..we can make or break someone from our actions..and them things that we say and do towards them..so yes the nail or the words can be removed and forgiven..just as Christ does remove our sins and trangressions from us..Psalm 103:12..but the wound is there..the scar is there..so today yes just like my beautiful gift Anthony got his momma is broken and it can be fixed..glued back together..but it still will have the pieces missing that were so little that they can’t be glued back on..and so it will remain together but still broken..as well as the board that the nails were pulled from..they can be removed..but it as well will remain together..but it as well will still be broken..so I don’t know your story..and I don’t know how you are with others and what not..but what I do know is that our words have so much life in them..and my prayer is that none of us are breaking anyone else..by those things we say or them things in which we do..I pray if we say anything that they are words of affirmation..words of healing and words of encouragment..so let us speak life into the lives of others..Amen..we should never cause harm or brokenness into the life of anyone..so pay attention to your words..pay attention to them things that you do personally..and then ask yourself am I speaking life?..am I causing harm?..am I causing hurt?..and if so by all means seek ways to resolve them things from your life..to renew your life by renewing your mind..Romans 12:2..for yes all things can be forgiven..but know that they are never forgotten..and people remember the hurt that was caused to them so much more it seems then the good that was ever done to them..maybe its because it’s the society in which we live..who knows..either way let us watch them things we do..and let us be the ones to be better and to do better..for everything we do matters and it does matter greatly..for it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
