So anyways tonight I was getting ready to eat this new soup I had gotten and on the can it looked really delicious..so I heat it up and sit down to eat and most of the time I don’t need to salt my food that much but this soup tasted as if it didn’t have any whatsoever on it..and so I grab that salt shaker and salt my food just a little and it then tasted delicious..and I thought about how just a little salt changes everything..but as well immediately I begin to think about the scriptures in the word of God that says..”Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven..Matthew 5:13-16..so anyhow I begin to think about people and myself included here and I thought about that soup..and at how it had all those fresh ingredients and was perfectly advertised on the can..but it didn’t have that one thing that was needed..it didn’t have that flavor..it didn’t have that salt..Amen..but I thought about us..and at how we look that part and we have it all together so to speak..but maybe, just maybe we have that one thing that is missing from us..that salt..for you see salt is that substance that makes others thirst and desire what we have..because we have been called to be salt and light in this ole world..and if were lacking in that area..then were lacking big time..especially when it comes to drawing others to the Lord..for without it we aren’t at all that appealing to say the least..just as that soup wasn’t..but you do you get where I’m going with this..but as well over in the book of Colossians it tells us to let our speech be alway be with grace and seasoned with salt, that we may know how we ought to answer every man..Colossians 4:6..for that salt and light that we give draws others to the Lord..for it makes them desire to know more..for people don’t really know what to do with someone in whom is happy..or with someone in whom is baring fruit for God..that salt and light guys..for you see it does make all the difference in the world..so always check yourself and your attitude when your out and about..always make sure that you’re giving this world Jesus to the best of your ability..for everything we do as a child of God once again matters and it does matter greatly..so let us all shine that light and give that light..and as well let us make sure that, that salt is there residing in our speech and in everything we are for the Lord..In Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
