“We are a moving people!”

Guys, if there is one thing I can say about us all and that would be that we are a very much moving people…we don’t like to stay still for long..and the snow has proven this…for some they said they felt as if they were going to lose their minds…cause they felt as if they had been caged in and they needed to be freed…this is not funny but really it is funny…I don’t think we honestly know how to relax and enjoy our time…I think the snow was a great thing that the Lord had done for us…for it actually made us slow down..just a little..and relax just a little…we actually maybe got to read that book that we had been putting off…or even watch that movie that’s been sitting there collecting dust…we maybe even got to make our favorite dish that we’ve been wanting for so long…who knows…or maybe we were able to stay in our Pj’s all day long…it is something at how we all must always be on the move…moving and doing something…we rush around like chickens with our heads cut off..so to speak…thinking continually about what’s next..what needs to be done next…and we go and we go and we go…and we really and honestly do wear ourselves out…we like everything right now..to wait is really an understatement…we don’t like to wait…not even for less than a minute in traffic..we get very impatient…and we begin to fuss and murmur…and we begin to complain…it is something how life for us all has changed…for I believe society in a whole has formed us this way…faster internet…microwaves…cell phones…fast food…everything is fast…and so we pretty much have ourselves trained into thinking that faster is better..and that the quicker it’s done, it’s better…we would rather have that cake already made from the store other than taking time to make a homemade cake..and we all know that a homemade cake is so much better than a store bought one…but the fact that it is time consuming kinda makes it less appealing for us…cause we just ain’t got time..we all kinda throw that around a lot as well…that we don’t have time…but really we do…it’s just the fact that it is time consuming..and takes patience…Today I have been painting the trim in our spare bedroom..and Anthony, my son, had given me a call on his lunch break and I told him son your mommy is making a mess everywhere with this paint…and he says well mom slow down..and take your time..your not in a race…and I said yes, honey your right..for Anthony it’s easy for him to slow down..because he has patience..and I tell him that is a very great gift to have…but for me not so much..I am a very hyper person..so it is harder for me to learn to take my time and slow down a little…but anyways..where I’m going with this is that I pray we all do learn to take our time and slow down..and enjoy our lives…for life passes by so fast and somehow if were rushing we will miss it…and that is the sad part of it all..but as well I pray that if were rushing that were never rushing with our time that we spend with the Lord…but I pray we tarry there in the Lords presence not to rush..but just to indulge in all of who the Lord is..and take it in…they say not to pray for patience or the Lord would give you things to test you in your patience..but as well life isn’t about the destination getting somewhere fast…it is about the journey guys that were all on…for that is our lives…the journey part…the living daily part…that is what life is all about…soaking in and enjoying the moments…for the moments end and time moves on…so let us not miss it…for patience it is a virtue…so let us learn to slow down..and let us learn to work on that patience for it is as well one of the fruits of the Spirit….for the word says..that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering (paitence), gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance:…Galatians 5:22-23…we have no reason to be so busy…don’t let our lives be rushed and constantly living them rushed…..but let us breathe..and enjoy…and live this life that we’ve been so blessed with to live…for it is a gift..so let us enjoy our gift…In Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen…Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
