“As Erik and I were driving through the desert here in Arizona this morning, I am seeing huge cactuses everywhere. I began thinking about how they thrive even in the midst of the dry winds and intense desert heat. Some still bloom beautiful flowers, while others simply keep growing strong and tall despite the conditions they have been placed within. Amen!
And so, of course, I started doing a little research on the cactus and how they are able to survive for some over 2 years in this type of environment without receiving additional water because of the water they are able to store within their stems and trunks. They remain sustained and, even then, continue to grow and thrive. Amen!
And immediately, I began thinking about us as God’s children and how we ourselves have the Living Water of the Lord Jesus within us sustaining us and always available for us to draw from. The Lord tells us that we would never thirst again. Amen!
Imagine that! Just as those cactuses can be sustained for years by the water stored within them, we can be sustained and continually filled every single day of our lives because the Lord lives in us. He says that we can have a well of water springing up within us!
John 4:10, John 4:13–14, John 7:37–39. Praise the Lord!
Even through difficult and dry seasons, God’s river is running through us, sustaining us. Like a tree whose roots are grounded deep in the soil, even in a drought we can continue to yield fruit remaining green and fruitful. Jeremiah 17:7–8.
In both summer and winter, we can remain because God’s faithfulness never ceases. Genesis 8:22.
God makes a way in the wilderness and causes rivers to flow in the desert! Isaiah 43:19. Hallelujah!
We can be resilient like a cactus thriving despite the conditions we may be in or facing right now in life. Like a cactus, we can soak up and hold onto the Living Water of Jesus that is always available to us.
And despite whatever circumstances surround us, we can continue thriving and growing right where God has planted us. Our roots can dig down deep, refusing to allow the circumstances of life to evaporate us, dry us up, or cause us to shrink back. Rather, we can bloom! We can live fully and vibrantly right where we are, with what God has already placed within us which is Christ Jesus, and Him crucified.
We drink from the Well of Life that never, ever, ever runs dry! Amen!”
”For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen & Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️🙏🏻🌵💧
