“We all just want someone to listen to us—not to pass judgment or give their opinion, but to truly listen to our hearts. We want someone to hear what’s happening in our lives, the discouragements we face, the problems we’re dealing with, and the heartaches we’ve been handed. We want someone to listen to our everyday lives, the things we have to handle, and the challenges we face. We look for that person to talk with, and often we find someone. Amen. But even then, we may not find the peace or contentment we’re searching for in all of our talking and seeking. Amen.
It seems we all, daily, seek answers in our lives. We search for a word or a sign from the Lord. We hope that if someone says the right thing, everything will fall into place, and all will be well. Amen. Yes, people are great to talk to and to share our hearts with, but most of the time, we never truly share all of who we are. We only share part, the part we think is okay enough to reveal. Amen. Pouring out our whole selves is a hard task. But my point this morning is this: if you need a friend, Jesus is your friend. The Bible says that He alone is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). If you’re looking for peace this morning, Jesus is our peace in the midst of it all (Ephesians 2:14-22). Amen.
If you’re searching for a listening ear—one that doesn’t pass judgment, one that doesn’t correct from a place of anger, emotions, or feelings—then Jesus is the place to run to. He tells us in His word that if we seek Him with our whole heart, we will find Him (Deuteronomy 4:29; Proverbs 8:17). If we call upon Him, He will answer us and show us great and mighty things that we do not know (Jeremiah 33:3). Amen. He invites us to come to Him, all who are weary and burdened, and He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28). Praise the Lord. So if you need a listening, helpful, and comforting ear this morning, seek out the Lord. The word says to go boldly to His throne of grace so that you may find help in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Ask Him, seek Him, and He will answer. Amen.
For Jesus is our all, and He always has been. Even in the midst of mistakes, heartaches, and brokenness, only Jesus can heal, mend, and set us free. Only the Lord can provide the answers we are longing for. In His presence, we will find all we ever need. He satisfies the deepest parts of who we are because He made us, He knows us, and He alone knows what’s best for us. So take your worries to the Lord and leave them at His feet. While you’re there, pour out your heart to Him. Give Him all of who you are, and let Him fill you with all of who He is. Amen. His ears are always open to us, and His eyes are always watching over us. Have the best day, dear friends. Be free in your life, and have a little talk with Jesus. That’s how the song goes, and that’s how the song says it. Amen.
In Jesus’ name, I ask and pray. Amen and Amen. Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends, and remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you all.” Mandi
