”The Lord prepares a table before you!”

“I’ve been studying and reflecting on the table that God prepares for us, as described in Psalm 23:5. It’s truly amazing when you dive into the meaning of each word and the profound message it conveys to us. The Psalm says that the Lord prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies, anoints our heads with oil, and makes our cup overflow. The mere fact that God prepares a table for us is astonishing. Amen. Our Father takes the time, daily, to prepare a table for us to sit at. Amen. In Lamentations 3:22-23, we are reminded that it is because of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is His faithfulness. Amen. The table the Lord prepares is a place of comfort and nourishment for our souls—a place of filling and refreshing. At this table, we find what we need for our day. Amen.

This must be important if the Lord takes time to prepare it. Can you imagine the effort it takes to prepare a meal for our families? Now, think about how we would feel if our loved ones never showed up to eat after all the effort we put in. We’d probably feel heartbroken, considering all we did for them to enjoy. Amen. Preparing a meal takes time, energy, and effort. So, when I think of the Lord doing this for us daily, it fills my heart with overwhelming joy. Our Father loves each of us enough to prepare a table for us every day. He knows that, just as we physically need nourishment, we also need to feast on Him and His Word at the table He prepared for us. He understands our need to be filled daily, to receive the anointing that only comes from Him, and to have our cups overflowing. Amen.

We cannot function on empty. We cannot be used as we should or could be if we are pouring from empty vessels or, metaphorically, empty cups. So today, I must ask: Have you taken the time to sit down with our Father at the table He has prepared for you? If not, I highly recommend that you do. That is where your day will begin—and begin well. It is there that you will find all you need to start your day. Never miss out on the table that the Lord has set for you. Take time from your busy life to sit down and be with our Father. We need Him more than anything else in our lives, and that time with Him is the most precious time we will spend in our day. Amen. What a filling and refreshing experience it is to be at the table, to sit with our Father. Amen.

So, go ahead and take a seat at your table—the table that has been set and prepared just for you. Amen. I’m sure that all your favorites are waiting for you to come and feast on and enjoy. So, go take a seat, rest, and eat a while with our Lord. I ask and pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen.
Be blessed today, my dear sweet friends. Remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, be a light for our Father. Much love to you, Mandi
