“Gaining understanding!”

I had read a story once about this mom and she and her husband had two children a boy and a girl..and both children where fantastic kids growing up..but as they both entered into the teenage years of there lives..the girl continued to do well..but the boy not so much..he became involved with a group of kids who were not leading good lifestyles and were very active in a lot of mischief..so the son ends up doing things that he never should have ever been engaged in…and the parents both of them were devastated..for their only son had been in jail twice for stealing to provide for this drug habit in which case had turned him  into an addict..and he was just a different kid all the way around..and the mother would beg and plead with him to stop doing them..and she would request prayer after prayer for him..and every time the altar call was called for prayer at their church she would be there earnestly crying and literally and completely tore up asking the Lord to get her son to quit and stop all of that bad stuff that he was doing..and she would get mad the mom would because her son never did he ever stop..and she could not for the life of herself understand why he was held by it..why couldn’t he just quit..it didn’t make any sense to her whatsoever..so she begin to read and study and she remembered the scriptures in the bible about fasting and prayer..and that how some things only come out by fasting and prayer…Matthew 17:21/Mark 9:29…so she told the Lord that she would give up sweets..she would lay them down and not have any at all for 6 months..so it went pretty good for her..it was harder at work then at home..because at hone she just got rid of all that junk food..but at work they were always something sweet laying around..but even then she stood to her promise to the Lord..that if she gave up the sweets that her son would be set free from that drug addiction..so she stood strong and kept to her word..until one evening…and her daughter was going to be getting married soon..so she asked her mom to go cake testing with her..and the mother agreed she would go but she told her daughter you know that I can’t have any..but I will go with you..so they arrive and there is so many varieties of cake displayed..and the daughter picked a few to try..and she was torn between two of them..on which one to have at her wedding..and she begged her mom please try these for me..and the mother pleaded and explained yet once again to her daughter you know that i’m doing this for your brother..and I have promised that I would not eat any sweets..and her daughter said yes but mom this is going to be for my wedding..so the mother felt very bad about it and so she agreed that she would try them two pieces of cake for her daughter…and she took them tiny pieces of cake to try..and as soon as that cake touched that mom’s mouth she at that very moment began to cry..because at that very minute she felt as her son feels..so the mother’s heart changed the compassion for him was changed..because sometimes we need to know what others are feeling and facing to really come to the concept of the fact that it’s not easy getting freed from additions..but I think we all need to have a little more compassion when dealing with people..for we need compassion as the Lord our God gives compassion and we need to always show love and mercy..just as God shows love and mercy to us..we should never turn our backs on them ones in whom is held by the grips of sin..for sin always keeps you longer then you ever meant or ever intended to stay..for it says that sin is but for a season..but the effects are for a lifetime..Hebrews 11:25..so when we consider ourselves..and think about all the times the Lord has been there for us..my prayer is that each of us always remember to do the same with others..for we all need grace..for without it we have nothing..and God has been so good to us..so let us extend that grace out to others..continually shining the light of the Lord..for we all are like new born babies when we begin..but we do get stronger..1 Peter 2:2..and we do get better..but we need help and encouragement along the way in life…for we all are just ole sinners saved by grace..and we give others what God has given to us..which is forgiveness..mercy..grace..and loads of love..so let us keep being kind to everyone guys..let us all keep giving others what the Lord has given and daily gives to us..for it all makes a difference in the life of someone else..so be the best you that you can be..and never look down on anyone just because you can’t understand their sin that they may be in..for sin is sin..and we all know in God’s eyes it’s all the same..1 John 5:17…so let us not measure it or even try to..for we can’t..nor should we ever..but let us just love as God loves…for we all need love and we all need to help one another along this ole journey that were on called life..helping one another to make it on home to heaven..for heaven is the goal to achieve for us all..so let us help ourselves to remember that when were dealing with people..In Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray…Amen and Amen…Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
