“The Lord gives grace to the humble!”

The scripture says that the Lord resists the proud but He gives grace to the humble..James 4:6..and I wonder why that would be..well for one when someone is haughty..or arrogant..and their proud so to speak..it makes it hard to be able to speak to that person..or even try to help that person..because that persons heart is hardened and they won’t receive what it is that your trying to do to help them..you’ve all heard that expression I’m sure that says..”Oh, their just stuck in their ways..and your not going to be able to change them!”…and as well they’ll say you can’t teach and old dog a new trick..and both of them statements are so very true…but people guys they get blinded by who they  are..because they’ve been that way for so long..and bad habits we all know are very hard to break…when people do things, act certain ways..to even talking certain ways…to daily eating the same things…is all because we are pretty much creatures of habit..we do the same things day in and day out..but we know to get a change in our lives we can’t continually do the same things day in and day out..somewhere in that equation something has to change..so when the scripture says that God resist the proud but gives grace to the humble, I believe it’s because the Lord knows that when were humble and when were broken vessels He can begin to mold us and begin to make us into what He would have for us to be..see we have to recognize for ourselves that something just isn’t right..and when were honest and we see this that’s when we are humbled and we are a broken..but that’s a good thing..because that shows that we are being changed..and change is where it’s at when it comes to growing in the Lord and in our walks with Him..for we know many that says I serve the Lord..or they’ll say I’ve been a Christian for such and such amount of years…but their lives speak different then what their saying..because when we become children of the Lord…the bible says that the old man is passed away and behold the new man has come forth..2 Corinthians 5:17..for the fruit of our lives will speak louder than the words from our mouths..we will know them the word says by the fruit that they bear..Matthew 7:16…so today and everyday that passes by each of us..make sure that you are bearing good fruit in your life…make sure you are a broken and willing vessel to be used of the Lord..make sure that you haven’t hardened your heart to things of God..and or taken them things for granted…but make sure that you are willing to say here I am dear Lord if you can use anything you can use me…for brokenness brings healing in our lives…it brings deliverance and freedom in our lives..for we have to know that we are always a work in progress and that we can’t get lazy when it comes to our walks with Christ..we have to keep that fire stirred up on the inside of us…we have to keep that spring in our steps and that light in our eyes…we have to stay close to our Father…always staying humble..and always giving it our best…and my prayer is that none of us ever become an arrogant person…or an angry one…and as well I pray none of us ever become a grouchy one…for that really wouldn’t be all that becoming of us…especially us being God’s children..so let us rise up..being the best that we can for our Father..shining as bright as bright can be for Him..living…laughing..and most of all loving..and not merely loving few..but loving all..In Jesus’ name, I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen…Be blessed today my dear sweet friend and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi
