“It seems that we often don’t truly want to speak about or acknowledge the enemy. We just go about our day thinking, “it is what it is,” without considering the fact that we all have an adversary. Amen.
The Bible tells us that our adversary is the devil. It says that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of the darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12–18). That is why we are told to put on the full armor of God daily, so that we can stand against the schemes of the devil. Amen.
Darkness is real just as real as light. And how do we know this? Because God says that He has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). Hallelujah!
We are also told to be alert, because the enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. We are called to resist him and stand firm in our faith (1 Peter 5:8–9). Praise the Lord!
We must stay alert at all times, because the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. But God came so that we may have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Amen.
I am sharing all of this to simply say we must be careful with darkness. We should never play around with it.
So I ask what was your darkness? What did God deliver you from? What bondage were you in? What was it in your life that needed to go before Christ Jesus came and set you free from the mess, the destruction, and the darkness?
We all needed the Lord for something. We all knew we needed Him to free us, help us, deliver us, and transform us. Amen.
Whatever that darkness was for each of us, we must remember that the enemy knows our weaknesses the things we turn to when life is hard and unfair. It could be gossip, pills, self-harm, pornography, alcohol, lying there are many things we must be careful with in our lives. Amen!
We must pay attention and never take these things lightly. The enemy is sly, crafty, and sneaky. He tries to get us to compromise. He tries to make us take God’s grace for granted. Amen.
But we are not to take God’s grace for granted. We are not to continue in the very things that God has told us not to do. There is no justifying sin in God’s eyes especially after the forgiveness He has given us for even the worst sins. Amen.
The Bible warns us that when an unclean spirit leaves a person, it seeks rest and finds none. Then it returns and finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. It then brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and the final condition of that person is worse than the first (Matthew 12:43–45).
So let us hold fast to our faith without wavering (Hebrews 10:23), taking our relationship with Jesus Christ very seriously. Amen.
For the word of God says that the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. And that person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord (James 1:6–8).
God also says He would rather us be hot or cold but not lukewarm. The lukewarm, He says, He will spit out from His mouth (Revelation 3:16). Amen.
So let us not waver. Let us not return to the things of this world that God has freed us from. Let us be aware of what the enemy is trying to do in our lives, because he is always seeking to ruin God’s plan, will, and purpose for us. Amen.
Do not be moved by your past. Do not compromise. Do not go back to what God has already told you to leave behind.
Instead, stand firm. Be wise. Stay filled and prayed up. Keep on the full armor of God. Stay covered and anointed in everything you do.
And remember the enemy is always watching, always looking for someone to take hold of his lies and fall for the same ole traps. So don’t take the bait. Let it go. Turn away. And move forward in Jesus’ name.
I pray that we all become soldiers in God’s army firm, secure, and grounded in Him knowing that our lives are for His glory. We are His hands and feet.
We are not here for ourselves. We are called to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him just as Jesus did all the way to Calvary, saying, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Amen!
And that is my prayer for all of us
“Your will, Father, be done.” Hallelujah.
So do not return to the darkness that once held you in bondage. It is a lie. darkness never fixes anything, and it never will. So be free, and free indeed in the name of the Lord. Amen and Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
