“Never forget the old ways!”

“For the past few days, I have felt such a stirring in my soul that familiar, uneasy feeling I’ve experienced at times throughout my life that I know comes from the Lord. Amen. It’s as if He is ushering me into His presence, calling me to truly seek Him, to seek His face, and to enter into His throne room of grace. Amen.

And as I spend time there, it is amazing what God reveals and what He brings back to my remembrance. Amen. We can get so caught up in the present going with the flow of society, following trends, styles, music, and everything else. But this morning, as I was praying and seeking the Lord while walking through my house, I played a song He placed on my heart. Then more songs followed worship songs I used to sing in church 25 years ago. Amen.

And hearing those songs again filled my heart with joy and brought me to tears. I began remembering so many moments from that time in my life what I was doing, the people around me. And God flooded my mind with memories of family and friends. I stood there in my kitchen, hands lifted high to the Lord, crying, praying, and thanking Him for all He has done for filling me and refreshing my soul for His glory. Hallelujah.

And as I sat down to write, I felt the Lord speak: “Don’t forget the old ways.” Amen. And I thought, yes Lord those ways keep us steady. They keep us grounded, holy, and mindful. Amen. They remind us how far we’ve come and how strong we truly are through Him. Praise the Lord.

For the Word says, “Stand in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.” (Jeremiah 6:16). Amen.

So many today are taught to forget the old ways to never look back, to only move forward. Some say the old paths don’t open new doors. Amen. But I believe God does want us to remember. He wants to keep us humble under His mighty hand. Amen. He wants us to fan the flame to return to those altars where we once knelt, cried, and prayed for hours before Him. Amen!

Oh, to remember and never forget the old ways because that is where we were changed and where we grew to truly know God. Church services were powerful. The joy of going to the house of the Lord was like nothing else. We couldn’t wait to get dressed and go. But nowadays, many justify not going, and that is heartbreaking considering all that God does for us every single day. Amen.

There should never be an excuse not to spend even a couple of hours in the house of the Lord to grow, to learn, to fellowship. Amen. For the enemy does not want us there, because that is where we receive strength for the journey ahead. Amen!

So today, this is my heart don’t forget the Lord. Don’t forget the old paths. Don’t forget how it used to be. Take a moment right now and reflect on where the Lord has brought you from and where you are today. Amen. And sit in that moment and remember His goodness, His blessings, His faithfulness, and the precious times we’ve shared with Him. Hallelujah!

For there is something beautiful and marvelous about those old ways, those old paths. For the Lord calls it the good way and says we are to in them walk and find rest for our souls. Amen.

So play the old songs. Listen to those old recordings. Revisit those moments if you can. Let your heart rejoice in those times, for they were truly special. For as Charlie Brown had said, they keep our feet on the ground. Amen. they keep us firmly planted and anchored in Christ Jesus and in all that He and He alone is. Hallelujah!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
