“Counting my blessings!”

“Yesterday was a very busy and rushed day for Erik and me. We were trying to take care of many different responsibilities, so I didn’t really have time to be mindful of the day or to take the time, as I do each day, to enter into God’s presence. Amen.

And because I didn’t, I became very irritated and was not in a good mood. As the afternoon went on, I began to grumble and complain. Amen. And how many of you know that is a very easy thing to do, especially when you’ve already set yourself up for a bad day? Amen.

So there I was grumpy and not being kind. And of course, after acting out in my moody way, I felt terrible. Because if you’re anything like me, you tend to take it out on the ones you love the most. Maybe because they forgive you, or maybe because they don’t always respond to it.

But here’s the truth God, my Father, does see it. and He does pay attention, and He looks at my heart. Amen.

So this morning I said, the most needful thing for all of us is to take time and make time to be thankful always, and to daily count our blessings. Praise the Lord, for it makes a huge difference in us and in the kind of day we are going to have. Amen.

For the Bible says that whatever we do in word or deed, we are to do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God (Colossians 3:17). Amen. And that we are to let God’s peace rule in our hearts and be thankful (Colossians 3:15). Amen.

We are also told to enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise to be thankful unto Him and bless His name (Psalm 100:4). Amen.

Because what I know is that the heart is something we must be very wise with. Amen. How we handle it matters. The Word says that although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were they thankful and their foolish hearts were darkened (Romans 1:21). Amen.

And in Matthew it says, if our eye is evil, our whole body will be full of darkness and if the light within us is darkness, how great is that darkness (Matthew 6:23). Amen. This warns us that if our inner light our conscience, our spirit is darkened, it can become severely corrupted.

Because our eyes are like the window to our soul. Amen.

So we must be mindful of what we say, because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34). Amen. And the Bible tells us that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9).

For our heart reflects our true character our thoughts and emotions, whether good or evil. Amen.

But when we are thankful and count our blessings, it cultivates a grateful heart. It boosts our happiness, increases our spiritual sensitivity, and promotes good mental health and well-being. Amen.

Each day, we must intentionally focus on the goodness of God. Because if we don’t, we begin to focus on what we don’t have instead of what we do have. Amen. And we can quickly lose sight of all the blessings in our lives and that in and of itself is a very serious problem. Amen!

So count your blessings. Start right now with the little things, the big things, and everything in between. Because it brings health, healing, wholeness, and completeness to our hearts, minds, and spirit. Amen.

Let us be filled with light daily, leaving no room for darkness. Amen. For this is serious, and we should never take it lightly how we choose to live and respond each day.

Like the old saying about the two wolves it is a battle between good and evil. Amen. The one you feed is the one that grows. And where we place our attention and energy shapes our character.

Because our spiritual growth is our responsibility. Amen.

So guard your heart. Guard your thoughts. Guard your words. Be thankful always. And every day, count your blessings truly name them one by one. Amen.

Because they matter. And they matter greatly to you, to who you are in the Lord, and to your life, your family, and your friends. Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
