“This morning as I woke up in the early hours around 4 a.m., at first I thought, “I still don’t feel very well and I probably need more sleep.” But then I began to think, “Yes, maybe so, Mandi but today is your 30th wedding anniversary.” So with that in mind, I began to get up and get moving. Amen.
And as I was getting ready for the day getting dressed and preparing myself I began thinking, especially on this day, about the scriptures in the Word of God that speak to us, His children, about adorning ourselves for the Lord. Amen. It says that we are to make ourselves ready to meet the Maker, to meet our Husband, King Jesus. Amen.
We are to be spiritually ready. Our temples, which Christ dwells in, should be holy and without blemish. Amen. We are to adorn them and be mindful of them. (Isaiah 61:10; 1 Peter 3:3–4; Revelation 19:7–8; Revelation 21:2). Amen.
But what exactly does “adorn” mean? The definition says it this way: to enhance the appearance, to make more beautiful and attractive. Amen. And shouldn’t that be our daily goal to be ready for the Lord Jesus in our lives? Amen. To be ready and holy before Him and in His eyes.
I think it is so wonderful that even in the messes of life, even in our shortcomings, God still loves us and pursues us. Amen. When He looks at us, His children, He sees His precious Son’s blood covering us from all shame, from all sin, and from all unrighteousness. For He sees us, and He looks at our hearts. (1 John 1:7/Ephesians 1:7/1 Samuel 16:7). Amen.
For that is truly who each of us is in life our hearts. For it is the most beautiful and glorious thing in life. Amen. The heart of a person speaks volumes about who they truly are. Beyond all fame and fortune, beyond all outward beauty, the heart is where true love is found. Amen.
I love the fact that we are adorned for the Lord and that we are covered by Him through that great and most glorious sacrifice. Through it we received the most amazing gift we could ever have in our lives for the blood of Jesus makes us whole and complete in Him and in His eyes. Amen.
I also love that I do not have to sacrifice anything to earn His love or to please Him, my Father. I do not have to explain myself over and over for Him to love me or forgive me for my mistakes in life because there has been many. Amen.
But I do praise Him for who He is and for what He has done for me, and for my life, and for my family’s life. Amen.
We are adorned daily, and we are loved unconditionally. There is nothing we have to earn or merit. It is a gift a freely given gift to whoever calls upon His name, that they shall be saved. (Romans 10:13). Amen.
Because then you are no longer an orphan. At that moment, you become a child of God. (Galatians 4:7) At that moment, you are adopted into the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen. At that moment, your name is written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Revelation 21:27).
So know this above all else that you are loved beyond anything you can ever imagine. You are adorned beautifully in your Father’s eyes. You are enough. Hallelujah!
So rest in the Lord today, knowing that He knows you, He made you, and He has a plan and a great purpose for you and your life. Do not strive for perfection. Simply strive in the truth of knowing that you are His, and He alone is yours. Amen.
He has made His temple inside of you. And that alone has given us such a beautiful adorning on the inside of us simply because of Him..Christ Jesus and all of who He alone is. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
