“Turn the light on!”

“This morning, as I was getting a pair of earrings out to wear for today, I was trying to find the backs to put on them, squinting and moving things around, trying to find two that matched and that would fit the earrings I chose. For I keep them in one of my dresser drawers in our bedroom. Amen.

And as I was searching, my eyes glanced over to that same drawer where I had placed a flashlight for that very reason to turn it on so I could see clearly. Amen. And I thought, sometimes, Lord, we forget to simply turn the light on. Amen. Turn that switch on, if you will, instead of sitting there day after day in darkness, frustrated by what we may be going through frustrated by decisions we have to make.

Day after day we sit there squinting, worrying, and stumbling over things because we are not seeing as clearly as we could or even should simply because we are not turning the light on. Amen.

I want to remind us all that God is light and in Him there is no darkness. (1 John 1:5). God is all-knowing and all-powerful. He has all the answers to every question, to every problem, to every decision. All we need to do is turn that light on inside of us. Amen. And let that light radiate over the gray, blurry vision of confusion that may be there.

And how do we do this? We do this by seeking God’s face. Amen. He says, “Call unto Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3). Amen. And He says, “Seek My face always.” (Psalm 27:8). Amen.

So when you find yourself in a rut..when you are confused..go get into the light of the Lord. Do not hesitate to do so, for that is our lifeline in life. Amen. That is our survival. That is our everything. Because without Him, our light inside can begin to dim. And when that happens, we make choices and decisions we regret. We overlook things simply because our light is not shining as brightly as it can for Christ. Amen.

For God’s Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path (Psalm 119:105). And God promises in Isaiah that He will turn darkness into light, make crooked places straight, and rough places smooth (Isaiah 42:16). Hallelujah!

So let us remember to always find our place in prayer before our Father. Let us make sure we are walking and abiding in the light that our lights are turned on at all times. Amen. Let us not stumble or fall because of darkness or some gloomy place we are in simply because we are not staying in the light of the Lord.

For without the Lord, we truly cannot do much. We can quickly get into self, and self alone can lead us into places and trouble we do not need to be in. So abide in the Lord, and He will abide in you. Seek Him and ask of Him, for He will answer you for you are His child and He is your Father, your heavenly Father. Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
