“Our Pastor has been teaching a series for the past few weeks titled “The Way of Love.” It was extended because of the snow and weather we had. Amen.

And yesterday morning, as he was preaching, he told us to think about how much grace we have been given from the Lord. That alone is enough to make us stop and thank Him for His redemption plan of salvation and for Calvary. Amen.

He reminded us that there were 613 laws and rules in the Old Testament that had to be followed before Jesus came. But when God sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to be the great and most marvelous sacrifice for us, He gave us two commandments.

Jesus said:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it you shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
(Matthew 22:37-40) and in the book of John, the Lord also says:

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”
(John 13:34–35). Amen.

And why love? Because God is love. Amen.

The Bible says, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”( 1 John 4:8). and we love Him because He first loved us. Amen.

But it also says that if we claim to love God and hate our brother, we are liars. For if we do not love our brother whom we have seen, how can we love God whom we have not seen? And this commandment we have from Him that he who loves God must love his brother also. (1 John 4:19–21). Amen.

But as I was worshipping yesterday morning and looking around at the congregation so full of hearts and lives I simply said, “Only You, dear Lord Jesus.” Amen.

Only You can truly help us to love and live a good life here on this earth. Only You, Jesus, can mend every broken heart, every troubled mind, and every hidden place we don’t even realize needs healing. Only You, Jesus, are the answer to it all to every problem and every question. Only You, Lord Jesus, are the true and most incredible Savior. Praise the Lord!

And that was my prayer yesterday over the earth and over God’s creation. Amen.

For God is all-powerful, and He could simply speak and everything would be fixed right now. Amen. But that is not the way God does things. This world is fallen it is not our home. So we will battle. We will fight the good fight of faith. (1 Timothy 6:12) And we will hold fast to our Father.

But through it all, we are called to do good and be good everywhere we go. We are to love our Lord, and we are to love His creation His children. Amen. Every single person is our neighbor. So we are to go and be His hands and feet, carrying His light and His love as we go about our days. Amen.

Because the Light in us is God Himself. He chose to come and live and abide in us. How incredibly amazing is that? Amen.

So my whole thought is this Only Jesus.

I pray that we all know that and never forget Him when life is hard, when life is not fair, when everything feels like it is falling apart. Only Jesus can change any of it. Our Creator knows us. He made us. The Bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that all our days were written before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:16). Amen.

So we live, and we love, and we make sure that God is the center of it all. We truly love Him with all of our hearts, and we love one another. For by this yes all people will know that we are truly His disciples. that we are truly His children. If we love one another. Amen.

For love covers it all and changes it all (1 Peter 4:8). Praise the Lord.

And only Jesus nothing more, and nothing less. Dying to ourselves and living for Him, for His love, and for His way. Amen.

For He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Hallelujah!”
