‘Throw out your line!”

“The other day while leaving work, I kept thinking: what if we were all consistent in throwing out a lifeline to others every single day? It doesn’t have to be something big or some kind of grand gesture. It can be something small a simple text or message, a cute post, a beautiful picture of a scenery, something funny, maybe a good worship or praise song just something to let others know you’re thinking of them. A simple way of saying, “Hello. Amen. I hope you’re okay.”

For me, I have tried to do this faithfully. I started back in 2016, and every morning now I send around 80 different people something. Amen. they’re my family, my friends and coworkers. Amen. I text them or send something through Messenger each and every day. It’s my way of throwing out a lifeline something to brighten their day and maybe bring a smile to their face. Because it’s amazing how God uses even the simplest things to bless someone’s heart. Amen.

We don’t know what others are going through each day, but we can try to lessen their burden and offer encouragement. Do I always get responses? No, I don’t. But I don’t need a response. Amen. I know they’re receiving the messages. And as well along the way, a few have told me they don’t really like that type of music, or they’ve asked me not to text them and again that’s okay. Amen. Some people have simply slipped away from my life. And gradually, by the nudging of the Holy Spirit, I’ve known when it was time to let them go and move on. Amen.

But when we throw out lifelines, we don’t catch everyone just like fishing. And the Lord tells us in Matthew 4:19, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Amen. Just like in fishing and in life, we don’t always catch everyone and that’s okay. Because some are there for but a moment and a season. Amen. And others are there for a lifetime.

But wherever we are at work, with family, even among strangers we can choose kindness. The Bible says in (Hebrews 13:2) to be careful not to neglect showing hospitality, for in doing so some have entertained angels unaware. Amen.

But the point is this we all have something to give. It doesn’t cost a thing to be kind, caring, and loving. To give a hug. To offer a word of encouragement. To pray for someone. These small things can change a life in a moment. They can lift someone out of a slump they may be in. Praise the Lord!

So always choose to be kinder than necessary, because everyone is fighting a battle. Some battles are evident and others are not so much. Amen.

So be the best you can be for our Father, King Jesus being His hands and His feet. And always remember to throw out your line, to cast that lifeline. Amen. For we are fishing for the Lord every single day of our lives.

So let us keep our rod and reel ready at all times. Being prepared. For who knows today may just be the day that you catch a big one. Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
