“The pastor I was listening to the other morning was preaching about Blind Bartimaeus and how Jesus opened his blinded eyes. Amen. The pastor said that Bartimaeus used what he had, which was his feet and his ears. Amen. Because we all know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
But the Scripture says that he sat by the wayside begging. But when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me!” And many tried to quiet him and told him to hold his peace. But the Word says that he cried out even more, “Thou Son of David, have mercy on me!”
And Jesus stood still and commanded that he be called. They called the blind man, saying unto him, “Be of good comfort, rise; He calleth thee.” And Blind Bartimaeus rose, casting away his garment, and came to Jesus.
And Jesus answered him and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And Bartimaeus said, “Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Amen.
And Jesus said unto him, “Go your way; your faith has made you whole.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus (Mark 10:46–52). Amen.
But the thing that touched me the most was when the Lord said to him, “Go your way.” Amen. And what was Bartimaeus’ way? It was to follow Jesus. Because Jesus says, “Come, follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). Amen.
So this morning, I want to say to us all: let us answer the question that Jesus asked Bartimaeus—“What do you want Me to do for you?”
Because the Word says, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). Hallelujah!
And God can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen. God’s power is working in us the believers. There is no limit to God and His power, for it is limitless. Hallelujah!
And why do we want to see? Because we can have everything this world offers and still feel empty on the inside. Amen. But when we ask the Lord to show us His plan, His will, and His purpose for our lives, then our eyes are opened. We begin to see clearly.
Then we rise up out of the ashes, take off the old garments, and put on the new. Hallelujah! We begin following Jesus, fulfilling our purpose, being whole and complete, doing what we were created and made to do on this side of heaven. Amen.
Just as the Lord’s Prayer says, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Praise the Lord!
So I want us all to pray that our eyes are opened to see God’s plan and God’s future for our lives. Amen. That none of us would walk around feeling empty, but that we would be alive and thriving, living our absolute best lives by doing the very thing God has called us to do having our eyes opened and following Him. Amen!”
For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
