“As I was plugging in my phone this morning, I began thinking about all the things in our lives that we keep plugged in. Amen.
Our refrigerators, our cell phones, our watches for some, they all need to be charged up. Amen.
People have AirPods, headsets, and so many other devices that require power. Amen.
And we do all have so much stuff that we make sure stays charged, because we know that if it isn’t, we no longer have access to that resource. Amen.
And especially our cell phones nowadays people go through great lengths to make sure they always have a power source ready in case their battery begins running low. Amen.
But as I thought about all of that, I also began thinking about how Jesus is our main power source in life. Amen.
And the worst thing we can do is become unplugged from our true power source. Amen.
Because sometimes we all get run down, and our so-called batteries in life begin to get low. And the best thing we can do for ourselves is simply go get plugged in and connected to the Lord. Amen.
We need to treat the Lord just as intentionally as we treat those other power sources in our lives.
We need to be mindful of when we need a recharge and when we need to reconnect. Amen.
Because our power comes from Christ.
For the Word says:
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.”
(John 15:4–5). Amen.
And God also tells us that we did not choose Him, but that He chose us, and ordained us that we should go and bring forth fruit, and that our fruit should remain and that whatever we ask of the Father in His name, He would give it to us.
(John 15:16). Amen.
And the fruit and the power we need to walk this earth are found only in Christ, when we choose to stay plugged in and connected to Him. Amen.
For the Bible tells us that we will know people by their fruit.
It warns us to beware of false prophets, who come in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravening wolves. It says we will know them by their fruits.
It says do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree brings forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. Wherefore, by their fruits you shall know them.
(Matthew 7:15–20). Amen.
And that means we are known by our character, by our actions, and by our behavior not just by the words that we speak.
Because we all know that actions speak louder than words. Amen.
And what happens when we stay plugged in and connected?
We’ll we love well, and we live well. Amen.
Because the Lord says:
“By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love one to another.”
(John 13:35). Praise the Lord.
So again, we want to live well, and we want to love well.
And we do this when we choose to stay plugged in and connected always to our Father King Jesus.
Connected to the ONLY true and most important power source in our lives. Praise the Lord!
So let us all choose to make sure our “plug-ins” in this life are secure and firmly connected to the main source.
Let us be aware and maintain, to the best of our abilities, a fully charged battery for our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Living well, loving well, and bearing much fruit all the while letting others know that we are the Lord’s disciples, and that we are truly the Lord’s children.
Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
