“I often wonder what stops us from enlarging our territory in life our surroundings, our experiences, the things we’ve never done before but may have a desire to do. I always think about a post I saw years ago about a horse. The owner had simply placed a rope on the arm of a chair, and the horse stood there as if he were tied. The rope wasn’t even attached to the chair, yet the horse remained still. In the horse’s mind, he believed he was bound, because the owner had used a rope before to tie him in certain places. So even though he was free and could have walked away he stayed. Amen.
And again, this brings us back to mindset. How often do we place ourselves in a box? And within that box becomes our territory. We don’t expand, grow, change, or even try something new because of the limitations we’ve accepted within the walls of that box. Amen.
But this morning, I thought about it like a houseplant. When a plant is kept in a small pot, it can only grow as much as the pot allows. But when you remove it and replant it in a bigger pot, the plant grows larger and stronger. Amen.
So I want to say to us all that I pray that we pray the prayer that Jabez had prayed to the Lord over us and our lives, that we would ask the Lord to bless us indeed, to enlarge our territory, and that His hand would be with us, and that He would keep us from evil. Amen. And scripture tells us that God granted Jabez what he requested (1 Chronicles 4:10). Amen.
But anytime we are ready to step out and try something new in life, it requires an act of faith on our part. And we all know that the opposite of faith is fear, and true spiritual growth often happens on the other side of fear. Amen. Not only that, but it strengthens us and our faith in Christ and gives us a deeper reliance on God and His strength and not our own. Amen.
For in 2 Corinthians 5:7, we are told to walk by faith and not by sight. And in Proverbs it reminds us to trust in the Lord with all of our heart and for us to lean not on our own understanding, but in all of our ways to acknowledge Him, and that He will direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5–6). Amen.
So know that when any of us choose to step out of our boats in life, so to speak, we must understand that it won’t be easy at first. But nothing in life is easy the first time we do something different. And it will require faith and the knowledge that through Christ, as the Word says, we can do all things through Him who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Hallelujah.
So I pray that our so-called boxes would be made larger, that the pots in our lives would become bigger, and that we would live and thrive in massive and huge territories places we’ve never been, seeing and expecting things we’ve never done before. So even now, we ask of the Lord and we all agree, Father, in the name of Jesus, enlarge our territory. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi 📦🪴❤️
