“Last night my niece Brandi and I were on FaceTime, looking through some old pictures, and I was literally taken back by how much time has gone by and how much we have all grown, my family and I. As I stared at those old photos of me, Erik, and Anthony our family pictures we used to have made at JCPenney I couldn’t help but say, thank you, Lord. We looked like babies back then. and we all have changed so much. Amen.
And this morning, as I walked through my home like I do every morning, I began thinking, You know, God, we are responsible for our homes in life these natural homes just as much as the spiritual ones. Amen. For the natural home is truly a representation of who we are in life, what we believe, and how we are truly living our lives. Amen. It may sound crazy, but it’s so true.
For there are many scriptures in the Bible about our homes. For me, I always remind myself of the one in Proverbs that says, “A wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down” (Proverbs 14:1). It also says that if we listen to the Lord and His teachings and follow them, then we are like a wise person who builds their house on the solid rock (Matthew 7:24). And when we do, God promises that we will live in a peaceful dwelling place, in a secure home, and in an undisturbed place of rest (Isaiah 32:18). Praise the Lord.
Because as a family daily we are building our homes with the decisions and choices that we make. As we stand firm on the Word of God that says, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). Amen.
And we do this by guarding our homes. We are to be keepers of our homes (Titus 2:5), managing our households well. For our homes should be a place of peace, and if the Son of Peace is there, His peace shall rest upon it (Luke 10:5–6). Hallelujah.
For the home is where life is lived. We are to be keepers of our homes indeed. Amen. And in the dictionary, a keeper is defined as a custodian, a steward, a protector, a defender, a guardian, and a shepherd. Each of these things takes effort, time, perseverance, and us being ever so mindful paying attention to everything and everyone who resides within the walls of the home. Amen.
For the Lord is the Good Shepherd, and the Bible says that He lays down His life for His sheep. But He also says that a hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks, and the flock is scattered (John 10:11–13).
So in our homes, we are to be like the Lord. We lay our lives down for our families. Amen. We protect our homes like none other. We pray over them. We guard them. We walk them with a watchful eye always, making sure all are filled with peace and love, and that all is well within the walls of our homes. Hallelujah.
Each of us has a part to do in the home, so make sure you do your part, and that as a family, everyone works together with the same purpose and mindset. For the Bible says, “If one prevails against him, two shall withstand him, and a threefold cord is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Praise the Lord.
In other words, when one is down, another lifts them up. When one is not able, the other is able. Together, you build and create the most beautiful and glorious place a home where God our Father King Jesus can come and dwell. Amen.
And that the fragrance that is there is a magnificent one, going up into the nostrils of our Father as a sweet smelling savor (Genesis 8:21). Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️🏡
