“Get planted!”

“Yesterday I was listening to a pastor on one of the podcasts I follow, and it was fantastic and so very true. Amen.

He was saying that the real problem is that we, as a people, despise the moments of small beginnings. We are quick to let things go before they ever truly begin. He said we are always looking for the perfect place in life the perfect church, the perfect marriage, the perfect job, the perfect friendships. Amen. And when we don’t get those things, we uproot ourselves and move on to the next place. Amen. We throw in the towel, and we do it very quickly and quit. Amen.

He then began referencing the Scripture about the mustard seed, explaining that if we have faith as small as a grain of mustard seed, we could speak to the mountain in our lives and tell it to be removed, and it would have to go (Matthew 17:20; Luke 17:6). Praise the Lord. He said this to remind us that God uses small things to bless us, and He uses small beginnings to create in us what He desires for us and from us in this life. Amen.

He used David as an example the smallest of all his brothers. David was simply doing a small task, taking food to his brothers, when he heard Goliath threatening God’s people, the people of Israel. David was brave enough to go up against that big giant with a small pebble and take down that cruel and wicked Philistine, even taking his head off. (1 Samuel 17:54). Amen.

The pastor went on to say that we often think what we do doesn’t matter because it seems small. We aren’t getting paid well, or we feel like we aren’t really doing much. We label ourselves as “just this” or “just that.” That is a harmful way to see ourselves. Amen. I pray that this evil spirit and mindset would flee from us all, and that we would believe what God speaks and says over us His children. Amen. Because little is much when God is in it. Amen.

He continued by saying that whatever we commit ourselves to, we must make sure it is worth it no matter what it is we are committing our lives to. In other words, whatever we are choosing to do daily should be worth it. Amen. We must tell ourselves, this is worth it. This one is worth it, whatever that may be for you. Praise the Lord.

He said to commit to what is and to walk away from what isn’t. Amen. That is the key to success in our lives. Let go of the excess. Let go of the things we know are not good for us and not beneficial. Amen. And hold fast to what is. Stay planted and get planted. Amen.

He explained that some of us never reach our full potential because we were never planted in our purpose. We don’t keep ourselves planted. Amen. We don’t keep our feet in the soil of our lives. We dig up the mustard seed, move it somewhere else, and when that place doesn’t work or that relationship doesn’t work, or that marriage doesn’t work we uproot again and move on. No stability. No grounding. Amen. We never stay long enough to grow roots. Praise God!

I love the saying that says this, Bloom where you’re planted. Amen. If God is directing our footsteps, then we trust His plan for where we are (Psalm 37:23). And if it’s only for a season, He will let us know. But to grow, we need roots. We need to be grounded. We need steadfast growth not baby growth, but meat-and-potato growth. (1 Corinthians 3:2). Amen.

This is the kind of growth where you hold on through the mess. You hold on through the disagreements. You use wisdom. Amen. And in doing so, you grow. Before long, you begin blooming. Then branches begin to form. Amen. And you become a solid, firm place where others can come for help and shelter in their time of need. You are able to give to others what you yourself faced and endured.

Growing is an unpleasant thing at times, for sure but it is necessary. It is what allows us to become who God needs us to be, each of us at our best. Being planted in the Lord is the most beautiful gift we can give back to our Father. And in return, He blesses us and our efforts, and He uses us in mighty ways for Him, for His Kingdom, and for His glory. So stay planted, stay grounded, and BLOOM! Hallelujah!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
