“So, as you all know, we’ve been preparing for this winter storm, and some have been more stressed about it than others. Maybe that’s because they don’t have generators, or anyone with them in their home. Maybe they’re elderly, on oxygen machines, or have sick children who require equipment so they can get their milk and the nourishment that their little bodies need. Amen.
People have truly spent a lot of money preparing themselves for the “just in case” scenario. Amen. Because, as I wrote the other day, preparation is truly key for any storm of life. Whether physical, spiritual, or mental, it requires us to prepare and take the necessary steps to be sure we can get through the storm and survive it. Amen regardless of what kind it is. Praise the Lord.
But as I woke up this morning, I was ever so thankful to the Lord that I still had power and heat in my home. And as far as sleeping, it was so peaceful through the night that I slept the whole way through which for me is super rare indeed. Just the stillness of the snow and the calm it brings to us, if we pay attention to it. But how can you miss it? Amen. It comes, and you know it the stillness and calmness that washes over us in such a beautiful way. Amen.
But I am always thankful, but this morning especially to be able to get up and make my coffee, make my breakfast, feed my Benjamin all the things in life that some days we overlook and we rush through without being mindful of them. But this morning, I didn’t overlook any of them. I was truly thrilled to have it all the power, the warm home, the peace, the love, the joy in my heart, the food to eat, and the ability to cook on my stove. Amen. The coffee pot to make my favorite warm, delicious coffee, and the microwave to heat it up again after about 20 minutes as I set it on the counter and move along doing other needful things. Amen.
And I thought, Father, You are so good to us. Every day You truly are good to us. Help us to be thankful for everything You do daily. Help us to pay attention to all the miracles and blessings You’ve given us. We murmur and complain so much at times over little things, yet somehow miss the big blessings the things we receive every single day. Amen.
Such as our food, clothing, and shelter. Our cozy beds. Our TVs and cell phones. Our friendships, our coworkers, the hugs we receive along the way, the smile from a stranger. Amen. The love of our families. We are so blessed and tremendously blessed we are.
So today, I am most grateful and thankful that God is so faithful to us. And I pray that we all enjoy this day we’ve been given a peaceful, quiet, blessed day. That we relax, read a book, and do the things we’ve been putting off because we say we’re too “busy.” Wink wink… lol. Amen.
May we indulge in the day. Maybe cook a nice pot of soup, or make a good ole pan of cornbread, and perhaps to top it off a comforting warm dessert. as for me it’ll be a big ole cup of hot chocolate covered to the overflow with marshmallows! Let us rejuvenate our minds our bodies, Simply sit, and think, and meditate on all of our blessings and the many personal things in our lives that we, truly have to be thankful for. Amen!
For the Bible says, “In all things that we are to give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you and I” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Praise the Lord!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️❄️
