“So, of course, we’ve all been anticipating this huge winter storm that’s getting ready to hit us. It went from forecasts of 20-something inches, back down to 3 inches, and everything in between. Now it’s supposedly going to be a lot of ice coming here in the Carolinas. Because of that, everyone has been busy and rushing to stock up on everything.
Even yesterday at my work, we were completely sold out of ice melt and gas cans. People were coming from all around to purchase generators, and some were there waiting from the moment the store opened.
I was speaking yesterday with one of my coworkers I used to work with at Chick-fil-A. We both still work in retail and deal with the public every day. I told her, “Wouldn’t it be incredible if people were as serious about getting ready for the Lord as they are about getting ready for a winter storm?” Amen. And she said, “Oh yeah, wouldn’t that be amazing?”
Because here’s the thing the Lord Jesus is coming back for His children. Amen. The Bible tells us that He will come like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2). Amen. It also says that no one knows the day or the hour not even the angels of heaven but the Father only (Matthew 24:36).
It says that as it was in the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the Lord be. For in those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark. And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. Scripture tells us that two will be in the field one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill one will be taken and the other left. Therefore, we are told to watch, for we do not know the hour our Lord will come.
Jesus says that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. Praise the Lord—therefore, be ready, for in an hour you think not, the Son of Man will come (Matthew 24:36–44).
I’ll be honest there are times when I procrastinate and wait until the last minute to do things. But as far as my heart and soul, being ready to meet my Maker, the Lord of heaven and earth, that is one thing I refuse to put off. Praise the Lord.
I pray that each of you is ready as well to meet King Jesus. Amen. That your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 21:27). For this world is not our home heaven is the goal for us as God’s children. So let us stay fixed, keeping our eyes upon our Savior, who is the Author and the Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), so that when He comes, He will find us faithful and ready (Matthew 24:46). Praise the Lord!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
