“So this morning, before my endocrinologist appointment, I thought, Well, I’m not really hungry right now, so I’ll just skip breakfast and not worry about it. Amen.
Then I thought, No, Mandi you’d better go ahead and make your breakfast and eat. And that’s exactly what I did, and I’m glad I did.
Years ago, when I was younger, I didn’t really think much about eating. I would just go on about my day and not worry about it. But as I got older, I realized that skipping meals is not good for me whatsoever. Amen. When I skipped meals, I would get dizzy, feel bad, and end up with a good ole headache and all of the above.
My mom always used to say, When you get older, your body changes, so you have to pay attention to it. And my Grandpa Hopkins would say the same. He would tell me, Honey, whatever your body needs, it will let you know. If it’s something sweet, something salty, or some meat, then that’s what you’re needing. Amen.
And now I truly understand the importance of food, eating well, and listening to your body when it speaks to you and planning ahead for it. Amen. I’ve found that if I don’t plan ahead for something as simple as the food I eat daily, then I’ll just eat whatever, and most of the time it ends up being snack foods. and in turn, that doesn’t do much for your body when it comes to building health and maintaining a strong immune system. Amen.
Junk food is great we all know that but it’s meant to be consumed in moderation. I truly believe moderation is the key to everything in life. Amen.
But on the flip side of it all, the same is true when it comes to our spiritual health. Amen. Every day of our lives, we have to plan ahead and make sure we are getting what we need from the Lord taking time to be in His presence and feasting on Him and His Word, which gives life and healing to our bodies, minds, spirits, and souls. Hallelujah.
If we don’t, we merely rush through a quick prayer, grab a short devotion, and head on our merry way. Amen. And that quick stuff is kind of like junk food it doesn’t feed us well or sustain us very long. Praise the Lord.
But when we fuel our bodies properly, it gives us energy, it powers our brains, it sustains us with health and healing, and it protects our cells and organs. Amen. It’s the same with the Lord Jesus. He tells us that He is the Bread that came down from heaven, and if anyone eats of this bread, they shall live forever (John 6:51). He also tells us that He is the Living Water, and if anyone drinks the water that He gives, they shall never thirst again (John 4:13–14). Praise the Lord. He says it will become a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Amen!
For God’s bread and water give us spiritual nourishment, wisdom, and guidance. They cleanse us and refresh us. Amen. They give us what we need every single day more so than anything else in this life. Praise the Lord.
So my heart today is this, be sure you are personally taking care of yourself. Eat well. Drink your water. Get your steps in daily if you can and if you are able. Move while you still can. Amen. Movement brings oxygen to our blood cells, increases happiness and joy, and gives us a boost of energy. Praise the Lord.
And as well be sure to plan ahead the time you spend with Jesus. Amen. Don’t have a snacking attitude in your relationship with Him, but truly feast on Him. Let Him and Him alone fuel you for the day ahead. Let Him feed you and give you that Living Water that showers over you and overflows out of you. Amen. that beautiful and most glorious wellspring of life. Hallelujah.
For God is life, and in Him there is no shadow of turning. (James 1:17). which means that He is the unchanging source of all good things, that He is perfect and that He is constant. it signifies that God’s nature is always love, faithfulness and steadfast for us. Hallelujah! And that life is living on the inside of you and me. Oh my what a privilege and what an honor that He chose to make His residence inside of us, to be with us forever and ever. Amen.
So let us all make sure that we are eating, whether naturally or spiritually, but that is them two things in our lives that none of us ever want to miss daily. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
