“Yesterday morning at church in the Kids Rock group, we did a skit for the children about our names and how important they are. We talked about how special and cared for we feel when someone knows our name.
The lesson for the skit came from the story of Zacchaeus in the Bible. In (Luke 19:1–10), and we see how the Lord looked up into the tree, called Zacchaeus by name, and said, “Today I am going to your house.” Zacchaeus did not know Jesus, but Jesus knew Zacchaeus. Amen.
For sometimes in life, we can feel alone. We can feel like no one knows us or truly cares for us. At times, we may feel like we are just out here in this big ole world all by ourselves. Amen. And for some, even while being surrounded by many people, they can still feel alone simply because no one truly knows their name. Amen.
But the Lord He knows us. He has redeemed us. He has called us by name. Before He formed us in the womb, He knew us, and He says, “You are Mine.” (Isaiah 43:1; Jeremiah 1:5) Hallelujah.
He tells us, “I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; you are always before Me.” (Isaiah 49:16) Praise the Lord.
We shared this with the children so they would know that, at some point in their lives, they may feel like no one knows them or even knows their name but Jesus knows them. Amen! He loves them, and He is always with them. For all that they have to do is speak His name, and He is there immediately for them. Praise the Lord.
We also reminded them that we are more than just His children we are as well His friends. (John 15:15) Amen.
And this encouragement is not only for the children, but for us as adults as well. In this big ole world we live in, we can sometimes become discouraged by life or feel like no one truly knows us. But we can stand firm on this truth that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us, holds us, and calls us by name. Hallelujah.
We are His friends, and He is our very present help in times of need. (Psalm 46:1)
We can know this with confidence that God our Father King Jesus knows our names. He is for us and not against us. He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. (Psalm 103:14)
Even in our shortcomings and failures, He still loves us. He still calls us, protects us, pursues us and keeps us always. Amen. We are forever before our Father’s face. Praise the Lord.
So know this today and everyday that follows and never forget it that you are a child of the Most High God, and He alone calls you by name. and that He alone truly does know your name. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
