“Obeying Jesus!”

“So this morning I saw a post on one of my friend’s pages that really stood out to me. It showed a picture of two stairways. On one side it said, “I believe in Jesus… Amen,” and that side was completely crowded. On the other side it said, “I obey Jesus,” and there were very few people climbing those stairs. Amen.

Immediately, it made me think of a preacher I once heard say that there are so many spots and positions available in the Kingdom of God that truly need to be filled. Amen. I believe all of us can see this clearly in our churches. We look around and see pews that need to be filled and work that needs to be done. For me, I see it all the time. I see it in leadership, in Sunday school classrooms, among counselors, in worship, on the praise team, and in the choir stands. Amen.

God has job openings. Hallelujah! And what better boss than the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords? Amen. But here’s the truth: serving the Lord is not easy, and truly following Him and His will for your life takes commitment. Amen. Paul couldn’t have said it any better when he wrote, “Do I seek the approval of men, or of God? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ” (Galatians 1:10). Amen.

And how many of you know that each of us has been gifted with something special something that no one else can do quite like we can? Amen. With that in mind, we should ask ourselves: What has the Lord placed in our hearts and minds? What gift or talent has God given to us? Amen.

This year, I want to challenge all of us to get up out of our boats of life and do our very best to use every single thing that God has given and blessed us with. Amen. Let us use it all for His Kingdom and for His glory. Let us shine and share the gospel of Christ, because when we truly love Jesus, it is hard to keep what He has given us to ourselves.

For believing in Jesus is one thing and it is very important but obeying Jesus and truly following Him is a whole different level of life. Amen. When we step into the gifts the Lord has blessed us with, it opens up so many wonderful avenues for us to walk in. God’s favor and anointing rest in our obedience to Him and to the calling He has placed on our lives. And no matter how big or small the task may seem, everything we do for the Kingdom is huge in God’s sight. Amen.

For the Word of God tells us that the harvest truly is ripe and plentiful, but the laborers are few. Amen. We are instructed to pray to the Lord of the harvest that He would send forth laborers into His harvest, into His vineyard (Matthew 9:37–38; Luke 10:2). Amen. For God has already sent His laborers. and He has already called His people. Amen. But each of us must be willing to answer that call. Praise the Lord!

Because God will not force us. He does not make us do anything. It is our choice and our choice alone whether we are willing to pick up our cross and truly follow Him. Amen. For believing is one thing, but following and obeying is another. But yet the Word says that if we are willing and obedient, that we shall eat the fruit of the land (Isaiah 1:19). Amen.

So let us listen. Let us hear. Let us follow. And let us obey. because it matters and guys it truly does matter greatly. Praise the Lord!

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
