“This morning, as I was climbing out of bed, I thought about how sometimes our very first thoughts are all the wrongs that have happened all the bad, all the things we didn’t do, and all the things we think we should have done. We open our eyes and immediately begin the process of second-guessing ourselves… hating ourselves at times… belittling ourselves… putting ourselves down… talking badly to ourselves not out loud, but in our minds. Amen.
And see, this is the thing we have the power to cast down every thought and imagination that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5). Amen. Because once again, if we dwell in those sad stories we begin creating and feeling sorry for ourselves, then we are handing over our power to the enemy the enemy of our very own souls. Amen.
And in turn, we are allowing the enemy to gain a foothold in our lives (Ephesians 4:27–30). Because as we think, so are we. Amen. Our minds create the life we are choosing to live. Amen. And we can create whatever life we allow ourselves to think about. And that can be very scary at times to think about, because the Bible says, “As a man thinks, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). Amen.
So we must speak whole and well to ourselves. We must encourage ourselves in the Lord our God. Amen. And at times, we must be our own cheerleader in life. Amen. Because we are with ourselves all the day long, and what we set our minds on determines the direction of our day and in turn, our life.
The Bible tells us to guard our hearts above all else, for out of them flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Amen. And out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34 / Luke 6:45). Amen.
So I want us all not in a prideful, haughty, or arrogant way but I want us to stop being so hard on ourselves. Amen. Let us stop the self hate and bad-mouthing, and instead let us all dwell on the good that we do, the wonderful gifts God has given us. Let us celebrate our small successes no matter how small because a success is still a success. Amen.
Let us think about how far God has brought us in our lives, how He has kept us, healed us, and delivered us from so many snares of the evil one. Amen. And in turn, we can have a good day. Amen. A faith filled day. A bright, joyful, blessed day. Amen.
And in doing so, we share that light with the world we live in. Amen. So again, be kinder than necessary, for we are all going through something in life and your light may help light the flame inside someone else who just needs maybe a tiny little flicker of a spark to start burning again. Amen.
For this life can be hard at times, and it will be hard on us at times we can’t escape that. But we can choose to be good to ourselves and to the lives we are living. Amen. We can create a beautiful home, a beautiful marriage, and beautiful friendships. We can do far more than we give ourselves credit for.
So never forget you have the power over you, and with the help of the Lord as you ask of Him. Amen. So turn the channel. Turn the page, if you will. Be good to you. Speak well to you. Renew your mind (Romans 12:2). Be thankful, and love God above all else in this world. Amen.
And let us all have a great day. Let us be all that we can be for our Father. Let us speak to ourselves the same way we speak to others when we encourage them. Because we hear ourselves all day long we can’t get away from ourselves. Amen.
So be kind to you. Don’t be so hard on yourself. For it matters and it truly does matter greatly. Amen!”
“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
