“Do not be afraid!”

“I was listening to a pastor, and he said something I’ve heard before but never really stopped to think about. He said, “Do not be afraid” is written in the Bible 365 times one for every day of the year. Amen. And I thought, Every single day, Lord, You give us a reminder as Your children not to be afraid. That is something we all need in our lives to know we do not have to fear anything on this earth, because our Father is in control of everything that concerns us, every single day of our lives.

It’s so easy to slip into fear because of life itself. Everything we face and go through can keep us stuck fearful over finances, fearful over our health, fearful of new beginnings, fearful of loss, fearful of all the “what ifs” in life. Amen. But the enemy knows this, and fear is exactly what he uses against us. Amen. He always tries to make us second-guess the Lord and what God has spoken over our lives. He tries to get us to let go and give up when things get tough when the heat gets turned up even a little. He tries to convince us that nothing will ever change, that everything will always stay the same, so our mindset whispers, “What’s the use? It’s never going to happen anyway.” And because we believe the lies of the evil one the deceiver of the brethren we don’t fight as hard as we could or should. Amen.

But life will not always stay the same. We all go through seasons. Some seasons are harder than others. Some are incredibly difficult to make it through, and we feel every emotion the pressure, the storm that blows into our lives. But we must remember that God is the Maker, the Lord of all. He is able to speak peace over anything that concerns you and me. He is peace. Amen. And He is in control.

I don’t always understand why we fight it. Even I get discouraged by the battles that fall on me sometimes. It can be easy to sit down in sackcloth and ashes and feel sorry for myself. Amen. Because when we’re in a battle or a hard season, we don’t just think about the moment we’re in. No—we go all the way back to childhood and dig up everything. We replay every word spoken, every hurt, every sickness, every surgery, every loss, every rejection, every moment of loneliness, fear, anxiety, depression, addiction. We dig up old bones and open up old graves. My goodness. And what a shame that is, because we made it through that mess yet somehow we pull ourselves right back into it and relive it again. Amen.

So what I want to say this morning is this:

We have made it. Hallelujah.

Don’t speak about what happened yesterday it’s gone. If you are facing something today, then face it with the Lord. Find the solution to the problem. My dear friend Amal always tells me, “I try to find a solution to every problem.” Amen. Because with every problem, there is a solution.

You do not have to live in the problem or let it control you driving you crazy or filling you with fear. God has broken every curse off of us His children. We do not fear this world. We rise and do as the Lord commands: Do not be afraid. Amen.

So we trust in the Lord. We pray and seek His face. We let go of the past. We do our best in this day. We live in this moment. We look for the solution. And every day we move forward—not sitting down in the mess, but rising with strength and asking the Lord for guidance and wisdom. Amen.

For the Word says:

  • “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. In God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”Psalm 56:3–4
  • “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”2 Timothy 1:7
  • “Do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God will fight for you.”Deuteronomy 3:22

And, “If God is for us, who can be against us?”Romans 8:31–33

Praise the Lord.

So today we rise, we pray, we trust, and we walk in the joy of the Lord. God is for us and with us. The enemy is under our feet. Never forget we are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. We are children of the Most High God, and His name is Jesus. Hallelujah!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
