“Spilled messes!”

“Today has truly been a day of me making messes. Amen. This morning before church, Erik was getting ready to leave, and I was making him a plate of food. I grabbed the gravy, and it slipped right through my fingers. I dropped it everywhere, and it splattered all over the cabinets, the floor, up the wall if you can name it, it went there. I was just thankful it didn’t get all over my clothes because I was already dressed. Amen. But I cleaned it up and went on my way. And when Erik came back into the house, he never even knew that I had spilled the gravy everywhere.

But anyways, after church I had my coffee, and while I was in the car getting ready to take a drink, I dropped the cup. Needless to say, it went everywhere into the cup holders, on the floor, all over my hands. Amen. So I began to clean it up. Then I came home and started cooking dinner. I had a pot of water, and somehow I have no idea how I managed to pour it all over the floor, the stove, down the cabinets, and once again I made a mess. Amen. But just like before, I cleaned it up and moved on my merry way. Praise the Lord.

But as I was thinking about all this, I said, “Lord, if I never mentioned any of these messes I made today, then no big deal no one would know, and I could just move on.” Amen. But spiritually speaking, I think about how we are at times, and how the enemy tries his best to keep us bound up by our sins, our failures, and all the mistakes we’ve made along the way. Amen. Because how many of you know that none of us are perfect? We may strive for perfection, but I don’t think we’ll ever fully reach that place this side of Heaven.

We hurt ourselves by “crying over spilled milk,” so to speak. We keep on and on bringing up every situation that has ever happened everything we’ve ever done wrong. We keep hurting ourselves by dwelling on all those spilled messes we’ve made in this big ole thing we call life.

But here’s the truth: the Bible says that if we confess our sins to the Lord, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins (1 John 1:9). And not only that, but He takes them and casts them far away from us, never to be brought up again (Hebrews 10:17). Amen. As far as the east is from the west, so far has the Lord removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12). Hallelujah!

So we need to do the same for ourselves. We should forgive ourselves and put on the Lord every single day of our lives. Amen. Every day, each of us gets a new beginning and a chance to do better. The biggest thing for any of us is to forgive us, let go, and to always keep moving forward. Amen.

Because here’s the truth Praise the Lord. God our Father has lifted each of us up out of a horrible pit and out of the miry clay. He alone has set our feet on the Rock and made our steps firm and established. (Psalm 40:2). Amen.

So I have to ask each of us this question today: Have you forgiven yourself? Have you given yourself grace and received God’s grace over your life? Because if we haven’t forgiven ourselves, then we will live bound up for the rest of our lives. Amen.

So let’s think about that today. Let’s ask the Lord to help us change our thinking, our talking, and our mindsets, so that they dwell on the goodness of God over us and our lives. Let’s rise each day knowing that we are free and free indeed in the Lord our God. He has forgiven us and washed away all those spilled messes we’ve made along the way in this once again beautiful thing we all do call life.

So let us hold fast to our Father’s hand and never let go. Amen. let us renew our minds and speak well to ourselves, because we are always hearing what we are saying. so let us all encourage ourselves in the Lord just as we encourage others. Amen. Because it matters, and it matters greatly.

So today we rise. We stop crying over spilled milk. We rise, we love, we laugh, and more than anything we live. And we live well the life we’ve been blessed with for yet another day. Amen!”

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
