“Run your own race!”

“I heard a pastor speak about how people will run so hard for their lives for their jobs, their finances, their health, their education and all the things that are important to them. They push through every obstacle and problem that stands in their way. They make no excuses; they simply run hard after the goals, dreams, and visions they hold in their minds and hearts. Amen.

But then he turned the table, so to speak, and asked: How many people do you know who are running their race for Christ? How many are truly pursuing the heart of God for their lives and the calling God has placed on them? How many can you honestly say are running hard after the things that matter to the Lord?

Because nowadays, the truth is, very few do. Very few are willing to sacrifice to be where God has called them to be. Many will only jog along spiritually, or stroll slowly, perhaps pondering the things the Lord has placed in them but truly dying to self and dying to the call we have created for ourselves is rare indeed. It is rare to find people running hard for the Lord.

Most of the time we are so busy seeing only our own lives that we have no time to consider the lives of others and what they are facing or going through. Amen. We don’t take heart in the way that we should. It’s funny how we can become so caught up in our own little worlds that we never slow down to look at the people around us.

True living is doing the will of God for our lives. And that means getting our hands dirty from time to time. It means sweating and enduring the race set before us. But it is also in those moments when we step out of comfort, when we begin to run and endure and obey that we are never more alive. For then we are making a difference, not just slow-pacing our walk with the Lord while running hard for our own lives, but running hard after God’s will and God’s purposes.

We have all been called to do something. We all have a gift and an ability to use for the Lord here on this earth. So my prayer this morning is that we don’t give God excuses or our leftovers, but that we look up into His face and say, “Here I am, Lord use me.” Amen.

Then we lace up our running shoes, and we begin running for the Lord and for what He desires for you and me. Amen.

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way as to obtain it.”
1 Corinthians 9:24–27

“Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, laying aside every weight and sin that so easily entangles us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.”
Hebrews 12:1–2.

Making a difference in this big ole world in which we live..that when we reach heavens gate and stand before our Father He will say unto us well done my good and faithful servant you have been faithful over little I will make you ruler over much..enter thou into the joy of the Lord..(Matthew 25:23). Hallelujah!

“For it is in His name, Jesus’ name, that I do ask and pray..Amen and Amen..Be blessed today my dear sweet friends and remember wherever you go and whatever you do, Be a light for our Father, Much love to you all, Mandi ❤️
