“I think that for all of us, if we could truly understand that God is with us our lives would change. I know we often say it, but if we really took it to heart that the Lord’s presence is with us, and that when we search for Him with all our hearts we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13), then maybe it would help us through the troubles of life. Maybe, just maybe, it would satisfy our wandering hearts that are filled with so many questions.

Even if our questions aren’t answered, we could still be content and joyful, because we have God and His presence with us. So let this encourage us today: God is with us (Matthew 1:23). God never leaves us (Hebrews 13:5–6). And God is always watching over us. Amen.

Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that He is there, that His presence is real. And if we have that, my goodness, we truly have everything we need. Praise the Lord! Even if we don’t get the answers we want, and even if we don’t understand all that is happening, we press on. Amen!

Because God is there. His love is with us. He strengthens us daily and encourages us daily. In His presence there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). Praise the Lord! So when we remain in the Lord, we stay full of the Lord. We stay faithful. Our days are better. Amen. We do what is right. We keep our eyes on the Master. We do as Peter did; we walk, and we keep walking on the water, so to speak.

Because when we have Jesus and His presence, what else do we truly need? He is our everything.

So today, if life is a little rough and things aren’t going so well, my heart and my prayer is that you look into the Master’s face and let Him fill you with joy unspeakable. Amen. Know that you are held, you are covered, and you are loved. Amen. Never forget where your help comes from. Amen!
